I’m really sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Recurrent miscarriage can have multiple causes, and it’s essential to work with a healthcare provider to identify any underlying factors. Some common reasons for repeated miscarriages include hormonal imbalances (such as low progesterone or thyroid issues), uterine abnormalities (like fibroids or structural issues), immune system problems (such as antiphospholipid syndrome), genetic factors, or lifestyle-related factors like stress or vitamin deficiencies. To better understand the cause, doctors typically recommend a series of tests, including: Blood tests to check for hormone levels (progesterone, thyroid function, prolactin), autoimmune conditions (e.g., antiphospholipid syndrome, lupus), and any underlying infections. Ultrasound to check for uterine abnormalities, fibroids, polyps, or any structural issues that could affect pregnancy. Karyotyping to assess for chromosomal issues in both partners. Hysteroscopy or saline infusion sonogram to evaluate the uterine cavity. Glucose tests to rule out diabetes or insulin resistance. A thorough consultation with a gynecologist or a fertility specialist is necessary to determine the cause and appropriate treatment plan. In addition to medical care, incorporating holistic practices, including stress management, diet, and lifestyle adjustments, can support your body during this sensitive time.
