PCOS, or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, is often linked to imbalances in Kapha and Vata doshas, leading to irregular periods, weight gain in specific areas, and hair and skin issues. To address this holistically, Ayurveda emphasizes lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and herbal support. Focus on a Kapha-balancing diet by reducing heavy, oily, and sugary foods, and increase intake of fresh vegetables, whole grains, and warming spices like cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric. Herbal remedies such as Shatavari, Ashoka, and Guduchi can help regulate menstrual cycles and improve hormonal balance. For hair and skin health, consider using Bhringraj oil and Aloe Vera gel externally, and consuming Amla for its rejuvenating properties. Regular physical activity, like yoga or brisk walking, and stress management through meditation are also crucial. Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for a personalized treatment plan to restore hormonal balance and improve overall well-being.
