Sounds like you're going through quite a tough time. Irregular and prolonged periods along with abdominal pain needs attention, so I should mention it might be wise to consult a medical professional in person to rule out serious issues. Still, in Ayurveda, we approach this with a lens of balancing the doshas and ensuring the body is in harmony. When menstrual cycles become irregular like this, it could be due to a Pitta and Vata imbalance. So, let's talk about what you might do. First, let’s look at some diet changes. It’s often good to take a slightly cooling and grounding approach to bring Vata-Pitta back in balance. Avoid spicy foods and minimize caffeine–this will also help with the pain. Drinking coriander seed water could also be beneficial. Just soak a teaspoon of coriander seeds in water overnight, and drink it first thing in the morning. It's simple, but I’ve seen it help many people ease symptoms. Also, turmeric mixed with warm milk before bed might soothe the inflammation and pain. Cutting back on a hectic lifestyle might contribute too, since stress does impact periods. Try light yoga or meditation, as they can help calm your mind and body both. Even just 15 or 20 minutes daily can make a difference. Abdominal pain might suggest congestion or tension in reproductive organs. Gentle massages with warm castor oil around the abdomen could offer relief. Of course, careful during the massage–it should not be painful, just gentle circles. Remember, persistent bleeding and severe pain need a doctor's check, ayurvedic or otherwise, for an accurate diagnosis. Make sure you give yourself rest and don’t ignore these symptoms for too long without professional input. Ayurveda works amazing wonders but sometimes you need a more immediate solution, no harm in seeking a balanced opinion.
