Scanty menstrual flow, irregular timelines, and other symptoms you describe can be indicative of dosha imbalances, particularly Kapha and possibly Vata. In Ayurveda, it’s essential to address not only the symptoms but also underlying imbalances. Here’s an approach to encourage balance.

Focus on Agni (digestive fire) is crucial. Begin your day with warm lemon water—it helps stimulating digestion. Triphala churna, taken at night with warm water, can aid in detoxifying the system gently. Women with Kapha dominance sometimes benefit from Arjuna or Trikatu, these can help stimulate the body’s metabolism, though consulting with a physician is always advised before starting new herbs.

Dietary changes can significantly impact. Favor warm, light foods that are easy to digest. Incorporate spices like cumin, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper into your cooking. Include more green leafy vegetables, and avoid cold, heavy, and oily foods which exacerbate Kapha. Sipping on ginger tea during the day also aids digestion and helps in balancing Vata.

Daily physical activity is important. Yoga, particularly Sun Salutations, can help balance hormone levels and encourage regular cycles while addressing weight concerns. Pranayama (breathing exercises) like Nadi Shodhana can center the mind and body.

Castor oil, taken once a week with warm water before bed, in small amounts, can aid detoxification of the digestive tract - another aspect that supports menstruation. However, dosage needs to be carefully considered, improper use might exacerbate issues.

Sesame seeds are useful; consider chewing a teaspoonful on an empty stomach or adding into your meals. These seeds support healthy menstrual cycles.

Lifestyle adjustments like maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and minimizing stress are vital. Stress directly impacts regularity and can worsen symptoms. Don’t underestimate the role mood plays in overall health.

While these are general guidelines, a personalized approach always ensures deeper understanding and targeted treatment. If symptoms persist or worsen, promptly seek further evaluation. Ayurveda emphasizes balance, but your health remains paramount.

Your symptoms suggest potential hormonal imbalances or disruptions in your dosha, particularly Vata and possibly Kapha based on sudden weight gain and scanty menstruation. It is essential to take a holistic approach to address these imbalances.

Firstly, consider your daily routine. Align it more closely with natural rhythms—try to wake up and go to bed at the same time each day to stabilize Vata. The integration of yoga and meditation into your daily schedule can also significantly help in calming Vata dosha.

In terms of diet, ensure your meals are balanced and warming, incorporating spices such as cumin, coriander, and fennel, which aid digestion and support agni, your digestive fire. Favour warm, cooked foods over raw, and avoid excessively cold or dry items which can aggravate Vata. Include foods rich in healthy fats like ghee, as well as nuts like almonds to nourish the dhatus.

You should include herbs that balance hormones and regulate menstrual cycles, such as Ashwagandha and Shatavari, which are known to support reproductive health. Ashwagandha can help in reducing stress, which is a common factor in hormonal imbalances. Shatavari, an adaptogenic herb, might promote female hormonal balance.

For the hairline on your stomach, a common occurrence with hormonal shifts, consistently applying a homemade paste of turmeric and sandalwood can be beneficial due to their soothing and balancing properties.

Sudden weight gain needs a closer look. Abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil could invigorate circulation and metabolism, assisting in managing weight and calming Vata. Also, Trikatu, a blend of ginger, black pepper, and long pepper, may help in improving your metabolic rate.

Lastly, if these symptoms persist, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which often shares similar symptoms. It’s crucial to ensure your advice is specific to your body’s constitution, and good communication with a practitioner will safeguard this personalized approach.
