Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is indeed a condition that requires careful management. You’re already taking gokshura, chandraprabha vati, and punarnava, which are potent herbs often used in Ayurveda to support kidney health. Gokshura helps in managing kidney function and urinary health, while punarnava acts as a diuretic and rejuvenative for the kidneys. Chandraprabha vati is a classical formulation beneficial for urinary health as well.

Besides these, managing your diet is crucial. Include foods that are easy on your kidneys. Limit intake of salt, protein, and potassium-rich foods. Preferable foods are those with high water content like cucumbers and watermelon, but these should not be taken in excess as CKD can lead to fluid retention. Small, frequent meals with fresh veggies (except those like tomatoes and spinach, which are high in potassium) can be beneficial. Your agni or digestive fire needs to be kept strong, so sipping on warm water through the day might help. Avoid processed foods and those with high sugar content, they stress kidneys.

Monitor your fluid intake closely, especially if you’ve been advised to limit fluids. Regular mild exercise, like yoga or walking, promotes overall health and supports kidney function. Remember, managing stress is also vital, so consider including meditation in your daily routine.

It’s crucial to keep in touch with your nephrologist and follow their advice while integrating Ayurvedic practices. Ayurvedic herbs and practices should complement and not replace your medical treatment. Periodic checks of kidney function through your doctor are absolutely necessary to monitor changes and adjust treatments if needed. If you experience any worsening symptoms like swelling or changes in urine output, seek medical advice immediately.
