Hello I totally get how uncomfortable mouth problems after chewing pan/gutkha can be. It’s super common, but with the right Ayurvedic care, you can definitely feel a lot better. No need to stress

YOUR CONCERN

* Burning in your mouth * Red and white spots inside your cheeks * Pain or burning when you eat certain foods * You used to chew pan & gutkha * This has been happening for 1–4 weeks (since you stopped)

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING This is called Mukha Paka or Mukha Daha. Basically, it’s because:

* Your Pitta (one of your body energies) is out of whack. * Pan, gutkha, and tobacco are hot and sharp, which causes irritation. * Your mouth lining is inflamed and not healing well.

Things that can make it worse:

* Spicy, sour, or hot foods * Tea, coffee, alcohol * Stress and bad digestion

ALL OF THIS LEADS TO

* More burning * Those red/white spots * A really sensitive mouth

Good news: If you catch this early, it can often heal up.

TREATMENT AIM

* Less mouth burning * Getting rid of those red and white spots * Calming down your Pitta * Making your mouth lining stronger * Preventing more serious problems later on

HOME REMEDIES

1. Coconut Oil Swish (Oil Pulling): * Take 1–2 teaspoons of coconut oil. * Swish it around your mouth for 5–10 minutes. * Do this on an empty stomach every morning. * Helps with burning and dryness.

2. Licorice (Mulethi) Powder: * Mix ½ teaspoon of powder with warm water or milk. * Take it twice a day. * Naturally heals your mouth lining.

3. Cool Milk Rinse: * If the burning is bad, gargle with plain, cool milk once a day.

AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

1.Kamdudha Ras (with Mukta): Take 1 tablet twice a day after meals. (Great for Pitta and burning.)

2.Triphala Churna:Take ½ teaspoon with warm water at bedtime. (Helps detox and heal.)

3.Avipattikar Churna (if you have heartburn): Take ½ teaspoon after lunch. (Helps control Pitta from your stomach.)

Do this for 3–4 weeks, then we’ll see how you’re doing.

Important for your mouth

Coconut oil: - Gently put some inside your cheeks with a clean finger once a day at night. This helps the spots heal faster.

DIET PLAN

✅ INCLUDE

* Soft, mild foods * Rice, lentil soup, rice and lentil porridge * Coconut water * Milk, a little bit of ghee

❌ AVOID:

* Chilies, spices, sour food * Very hot tea/coffee * Alcohol, tobacco (definitely stop!) * Fried and junk food

LIFESTYLE

* Keep your mouth clean. * Don’t eat or drink things that are super hot. * Try to relax and reduce stress. * Get enough sleep.

Important stuff to know:

⚠️ If those white/red spots don’t get better in 2–3 weeks, or if you have more pain, bleeding, or ulcers, please see a dentist or ear, nose, and throat doctor right away. Catching things early keeps you safe.

You’ve already done the most important thing by quitting pan and gutkha. With the right Ayurvedic care, good food choices, and some patience, you will definitely heal.

All the best, Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Hello, Your symptoms of mouth burning, white patches on the inner cheek, pain while eating, and difficulty taking food, with a history of tobacco chewing for 1–4 weeks, strongly suggest tobacco-induced oral mucosal damage, commonly seen in conditions like oral leukoplakia / tobacco stomatitis / early oral submucous irritation.

Tobacco causes chronic heat, dryness, and toxicity in the oral tissues, leading to burning sensation, inflammation, altered mucosa, and white patches. Early intervention is very important to reverse changes and prevent progression.

Ayurveda focuses on detoxification, cooling the oral mucosa, healing ulcers/patches, and restoring tissue health, along with strict cessation of tobacco.

🔎 Recommended Investigations (If not done in the last 3–6 months) Complete oral examination by Dentist / ENT CBC with ESR – to assess inflammation Serum Vitamin B12 & Iron studies – deficiencies worsen burning mouth Oral smear / biopsy – if white patches persist beyond 2–3 weeks after stopping tobacco

💊 Internal Medicines Phase 1 – 21 days (Reduce burning, inflammation, detoxify oral mucosa) 1.Khadiradi Vati – 1 tablet, 4 times daily (Let it dissolve slowly in mouth) 2.Guduchi Ghana Vati – 1 tablet twice daily after meals 3.Avipattikar Churna – ½ tsp at bedtime with lukewarm water 4.Amalaki Churna – ½ tsp twice daily after meals with honey or water

Phase 2 – 45 days (Mucosal healing + prevention of recurrence) 1.Gandhak Rasayan – 1 tablet twice daily after meals 2.Kaishore Guggulu – 2 tablets twice daily after meals 3.Yashtimadhu Churna – ½ tsp twice daily with warm milk or water

🌿 Local / External Treatment 1.Mouth Gargles (Very Important) Triphala Kashaya (lukewarm) – gargle twice daily OR Yashtimadhu decoction – once daily 2.Topical Application Yashtimadhu Ghrita or Cow ghee Apply gently over affected areas 2–3 times daily 3.Oil Pulling (Gandusha) Coconut oil or sesame oil – 5–7 minutes every morning

🥗 Diet & Lifestyle Recommendations ❌ Strictly Avoid Tobacco in all forms (very crucial) Spicy, very hot, fried foods Alcohol, smoking Betel nut, pan masala Very sour & salty foods ✅ Include Soft, lukewarm foods Rice gruel, vegetable soups Milk, ghee, coconut water Pomegranate, banana (ripe), soaked raisins Adequate water intake

🧘🏻‍♂️ Supportive Practices Cooling pranayama: Sheetali / Sheetkari – 10 rounds daily Stress reduction & adequate sleep Maintain good oral hygiene

🕉️ Follow-up & Duration Burning sensation relief: 7–10 days Pain while eating reduces: 2–3 weeks Whitening/patch healing: 4–6 weeks (if tobacco is completely stopped) Persistent or non-healing patches must be evaluated further

✨ Early tobacco-related oral lesions are reversible with strict habit cessation and disciplined Ayurvedic treatment. Consistency is the key to complete healing and prevention.

With kind regards, Dr. Sumi MS (Ayu)

HELLO,

YOU ARE EXPERIENCING -burning sensation in the mouth -pain while eating -white patches on the inner cheek -difficulty tolerating spicy or normal food

WHY THIS HAPPENED Long term tobacco chewing continuously irritates the delicate lining gf the mouth. Tobacco is -very hot in nature -dry and irritation -toxic to oral tissues

Because of this -the heat (pitta) causes burning, pain, inflammation -The thickness and stickiness (kapha) causes white patches -Blood and nutrition supply to the mouth becomes unhealthy

In Ayurveda, this condition is described under -Mukha daha (mouth burning) -Mukha paka (inflammation of oral cavity) -Early stage of Shweta mukha roga (white lesion) If tobacco use continues, such patches can slow become hard, thick, non healing, and in some cases may turn serious The good news= At this stage, it is reversible with proper care

AYURVEDIC VIEW OF DISEASE PROCESS -Tobacco-> excessive heat and toxins -heat disturbs pitta dosha -sticky toxins disturb kapha dosha -impure blood occurs -mouth lining becomes = sensitive, inflamed, thickened

TREATMENT GOALS -stop further damage - complete stopping of tobacco most imortant -reduce burning and pain -remove white patches -purify bood -regenrate mouth lining -prevent recurrence or complication

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) KAMDUDHA RAS(with mukta)= 1 tab twice daily after meals with plain water =strong cooling medicine, controls burning sensation, reduces inflamamtion in mouth, calms excess Pitta

2) PRAVAL PISHTI= 125 mg twice daily mixed with ghee or honey after meals =heals oral mucosa, reduces burning and pain, improves calcium metabolism for tissue repair

3) GUDUCHI SATVA= 500mg twice daily with water after meals =detoxifies blood, boosts immunity, reduces inflammation caused by toxins, prevents infection of mouth lesions

4) MAHAMANJISTHADI KASHAYA= 15ml + equal water twice daily before meals =purifies blood deeply, helps fade white patches, improves circulation to mouth tissues, prevents progression of lessons

5) YASHTIMADHU CHURNA= 1/2 tsp twice daily with warm milk =excellent healing for mouth, forms protective layer aver oral lining, promotes regenration of damaged tissue, soothes pain and burning

DURATION OF TREATMENT= 6-8 weeks

EXTERNAL TREATMENT Local treatment gives fast relief

A) OIL PULLING -take 1 tablespoon coconut oil -hold in mouth for 5-10 min -spit out and rinse with warm water Once daily mornning =reduces burning, heals mouth lining, prevents infection, removes toxins locally

2) HERBAL MOUTH RINSE -prepare decoction of Triphala + Yashtimadhu -use lukewarm gargle 2 times daily =reduces white patches, cleans mouth naturally, soothes inflamamtion

3) LOCAL APPLICATION -Yashtimadhu powder + honey= apply gently over white patches once daily -Jatyadi taila= apply at night using clean cotton bud =promotes healing, prevent ulcer formation, soften thick patches

DIET -soft, cold foods -rice gruel, moong dal -milk, ghee -coconut water -pomegranate -banana -soaked raisins -plain curd (small quantity)

AVOID -tobacco in any form -spicy food -sour food -very salty food -fried and junk food -alcohol -very hot tea/coffee

LIFESTYLE CHANGES -stop tobacco completely (non-negotiable) -avoid stress (stress worsens burning) -maintain oral hygeine -use mild herbal toothpaste -avoid mouthwashes with alcohol -get adequate sleep

BEST PRANAAYAM -sheetali pranayam -sheetkari pranayam = 5-10 round daily, reduces internal heat

GENTLE YOGA -vajrasana after meals -shavasana -sukhasana with deep breathing Avoid excessive heat producing exercises

HOME REMEDIES -rinse mouth with cold milk once daily -apply pure ghee over burning areas -chew fennel seeds after meals -drink coriander seed water

INVESTIGATION NEEDED At present symptoms are mild, but investigations are advised if -White patches do not reduce after 6-8 weeks -pain increases -ulcers or bleeding develops

POSSIBLE TESTS -oral examination by dentist -blood tests (Hb, inflammation markers) -Biopsy only if lesions becomes suspicious

PROGNOSIS -burning reduces in 1-2 weeks -pain improves in 2-3 weeks -white patches fade in 4-8 weeks -complete healing with tobacco cessation

This condition is a warning sign from the body. Ayurveda does to just suppress symptoms- it reverses damage if you cooperate

-Medicine + local care -diet + lifestyle -tobacco cessation Together give complete recovery and protection from future risk

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELFPUL

THANK YOU

1.Khadiradi vati 1–2 tablets to be sucked slowly, 2–3 times daily 2.Gandhak rasayan 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Triphala mouth rinse-Gargle with lukewarm Triphala decoction twice daily 4.Aloe vera juice 15 ml twice daily

-Avoid irritants: Stop tobacco completely, avoid spicy/oily foods, alcohol, and very hot drinks. -Diet: Soft, cooling foods (milk, rice gruel, boiled vegetables, fruits like banana/papaya). -Hydration: Drink plenty of water; avoid dehydration which worsens burning

Adv: White patches in the mouth can sometimes indicate oral precancerous lesions (like leukoplakia or oral submucous fibrosis). This requires urgent evaluation by an ENT specialist to rule out serious conditions.

YOUR SYMPTOMS OF MOUTH BURNING WHITE PATCHES ON CHEEK AND PAIN WHILE EATING ARE MOST CONSISTENT WITH TOBACCO INDUCED ORAL MUCOSAL DAMAGE AND POSSIBLE PRE CANCEROUS CHANGES CONTINUED TOBACCO CHEWING IS THE PRIMARY CAUSE AND MUST BE STOPPED COMPLETELY FOR HEALING TO BEGIN

THIS CONDITION REQUIRES BOTH LOCAL HEALING AND INTERNAL SUPPORT

AYURVEDIC MEDICINES -

KHADIRADI VATI ONE TABLET TO SUCK SLOWLY THREE TIMES DAILY

YASHTIMADHU CHURNA HALF TEASPOON WITH HONEY TWICE DAILY

TRIPHALA CHURNA HALF TEASPOON AT NIGHT WITH WARM WATER

GANDUSH WITH COCONUT OIL OR TIL OIL EVERY MORNING

DIET SHOULD BE SOFT COOL AND NON IRRITATING AVOID SPICY HOT SOUR SALTY FOODS AVOID VERY HOT TEA COFFEE AND ALL FORMS OF TOBACCO

IF THE WHITE PATCHES DO NOT REDUCE OR BECOME HARD THICK OR PAINFUL THEN A DIRECT ORAL EXAMINATION BY DENTIST OR ENT IS NECESSARY TO RULE OUT SERIOUS CHANGES
