your current pattern suggests chronic gut sensitivity with vata pitta imbalance where intestines are over reactive and not tolerating stronger medicines which is why multiple ayurvedic treatments have not given relief since ramosetron is helping you can continue it for symptomatic control and along with that shift to milder supportive medicines like dadimashtaka churna half teaspoon twice daily after food takra with a pinch of roasted jeera and rock salt after breakfast will support gut stability keep diet strictly light simple and warm avoid spicy oily raw and heavy foods as they increase intestinal irritation

Namaste, 20 years long IBS with recent continuous symptoms and poor response to multiple Ayurvedic medicines shows that your case is chronic and sensitive, and needs a very individualized approach. Simple understanding: Your pattern (morning loose, paste-like stool, relief after that) suggests chronic gut sensitivity with vata-pitta involvement. Since many medicines (Kutaj, deepan-pachan, etc.) are not suiting you, your gut is likely overreactive, not just weak. Ramosetron helping means bowel sensitivity is high, not just digestion issue. About cure: Complete cure in such long IBS is difficult but good control is possible. Goal should be stability and symptom-free days, not aggressive treatment. Simple measures that may help: Avoid frequent medicine changes, it disturbs gut more. Take very simple, consistent diet (same type of food daily for some time). Avoid raw food, salads, excess spices, tea/coffee. Eat warm, soft, easily digestible food only. Maintain fixed routine for meals and sleep. Stress control is very important (IBS strongly linked to gut-brain axis). In your case, soothing and stabilizing approach is better than strong medicines. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Dadimadi Ghrita – 1 teaspoon, morning empty stomach Musta Churna – 1/2 teaspoon, after lunch and dinner Shankh Bhasma – 125 mg, after meals with honey or ghee These are generally milder and gut-stabilizing, not aggressive. Continue Ramosetron as advised by your doctor if it is helping. Improvement will be slow and gradual, so patience is required. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.
