Hello I can understand your concern regarding IBS and its good that you have actually got 50 percent relief in your symptoms ▪️As the pain in upper back pain after meals is not reduced it means thet the root cause is not fully corrected ➖The upper back pain is mostly due to The vata (pressure of gas) moves upward And also as referred pain from stomach ▪️Your main doubt Is IBS curable with ayurveda? -Yes we can treat IBS very well But result vary person to person Depending on -chronicity -Consistency in diet -how well you manage stress And also consistency in treatment As you have already improved by 50 percent You are already on right track You are doing well Have trust in Ayurveda ▪️Second how long you need to follow the treatment? ➖In most of my IBS patient i divide the treatment in 3 phases ➖First is to get symptomatically relief ➖After 2 months correcting your agni that is digestive fire I start 3 ohase which is most important that is root cause healing This helps in preventing recurrence So a complete treatment may need 4-6 months and post that following proper diet and lifestyle ▪️Modification in your current treatment ➖For upper back pain Add Hinguvachadi gulika 2 tablets before food Through out the day have warm water only ➖For gut healing Continue Dadimadi ghrita Also take Buttermilk with roasted jeera after lunch ▪️External care Apply warm sesame oil on your upper back and do hot water fomentation ▪️Diet plan - most important Follow -have fresh and warm home made foods -Have moong dal soups -cooked vegetables -weekly once only liquid diet -have more of healthy spices like jeera, ajwain Avoid -Reheated food -cold food items -tea or coffee -curd ▪️Follow correct lifestyle -have regular meal timing -avoid lying down immediately after food And yes your IBS can be treated with Ayurveda So believe in yourself and the system Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Yes, your upper back pain during/after eating (moderate, frequent) in the context of IBS is very likely curable with consistent Ayurvedic treatment especially since gas, bloating and sleep have already improved significantly in just 53 days. Your current medicines are good , no need to stop any. They are already working well overall. Add these 2 targeted items (only for upper back pain & residual gut irritation) ✓Hingwashtak Churna – ½ tsp after lunch & dinner with warm water ✓Maharasnadi Kwath – 15 ml + 45 ml warm water once daily (morning empty stomach) ✓Keep doing these strongly Vajrasana 10 min after every meal Warm sesame oil gentle abdominal massage clockwise 5–10 min night Sip warm fennel + roasted cumin water all day Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

I understand your concern—after 53 days of disciplined treatment, you’ve already seen 50% improvement, which is actually a very positive sign. But this lingering upper back pain during meals can feel frustrating and confusing.Your symptoms indicate a condition close to Grahani (IBS) with Vata–Pitta imbalance Recommended treatment Plan Rx 1) Hinguvachadi gulika - 1 tablet twice daily before food Helps correct Vata movement + relieves pain during digestion 2) Kutajarishta - improves intestinal function IBS treatment requires fine-tuning based on your Prakriti, Agni, and stress levels.I would recommend a personalized assessment to adjust: -Exact dosages -Food triggers -Mind–gut connection (very important in your case) If you want, I can design a complete 90-day structured protocol tailored specifically for you to ensure full recovery and prevent relapse.

Continue your current medicines as they are along with this you can take hinguvachadi gulika one tablet twice daily and replace dadimastaka gritha with diaakar churna half teaspoon twice daily after food with warm water eat slowly in a calm state avoid talking or stress while eating keep food warm soft and in small quantity at a time you can sip a little warm water or jeera water during meals and after food sit in vajrasana for few minutes this will help digestion and reduce that pain sensation as your digestion improves further this symptom will also gradually settle just continue regularly and avoid any trigger foods

Yes it will , Continue all your medicine as suggested earlier, since you have already got 50% relief, it shows, it’s working well with you You add Brahmi vati 1-0-1 after food with water. Add Heposem 5ml twice daily after food with water will help improve your digestion

Yes it’s curable but diet maintainance is must Avoid oily spicy food meat alcohol smoking

–It’s good that you’re already seeing improvement—reduced gas and better sleep are positive signs that your current treatment is helping your system stabilize. –Another 3-4 months of treatment (approx.) Followed by diet/lifestyle maintenance, and continue medication

Hello, Yes. It can be cured provided you are following the medicines-diet and lifestyle instructions as prescribed by your ayurveda doctor. Also take panchakarma treatments if he/she advices you to do so. The duration for the cure depends on so many factor like cause, severity etc. Take care, Kind regards.

Hi Mam, already taken virechana treatment 40 days back.

Hello, Good to know. Please keep in touch with your treating doctor as it requires close monitoring, change of medications based on the symptoms as well as vikruti(which your doctor will be able to access using tongue examination, nadi etc.). You may need follow up panchakarma treatments also. So my suggestion would be speak to your treating doctor so that you can understand in protocol and plan for your recovery. Take care, Kind regards.

Today I went to doctor for followup. they prescribed gasex 1-0-1 Stop-ibs 0-0-1 reduced to 1 tablet per day Anulom-DS 0-0-1 Dadimadi gritha morning 1 teaspoon Bilagyl evening 1 teaspoon

It is a good sign that your sleep has improved and gas has reduced by around fifty percent this shows your digestion is responding and moving in the right direction IBS in Ayurveda is not just a bowel issue it is related to digestion strength gut sensitivity and the connection between mind and gut so healing takes place step by step rather than suddenly and your current progress shows that the imbalance is getting corrected gradually The upper back pain while eating is something we do see in such cases this usually happens when there is still some disturbance in the movement of air in the upper abdomen or slight irritation in the stomach region sometimes even mild reflux or diaphragmatic tightness can refer pain to the back so even though gas has reduced the upward movement is not completely settled yet Your current medicines Gasex Dadimadi Ghrita Bilagyl and Stop-IBS are appropriate and your improvement confirms they are working on digestion gut lining and bowel regulation Regarding your question about complete cure IBS can be brought to a stable and near normal state with Ayurveda where digestion becomes comfortable gas and pain settle and bowel movements become regular without fear of food but this depends on continuing treatment along with proper diet and routine Since you have already completed around fifty three days and have achieved about fifty percent relief usually another one to one and half months will reduce symptoms further and then an additional one to two months helps in stabilizing the system so overall it may take around three to five months depending on your body response diet discipline and stress levels It is important not to stop medicines early once you feel better because internal healing of the gut and stabilization of digestion takes longer than symptom relief and stopping midway often leads to recurrence For your current back pain while eating eat slowly without distraction sit straight do not drink excess water during meals and after food sit in Vajrasana for five to ten minutes you can also take a small pinch of dry ginger and ajwain with warm water after meals which helps regulate the movement in the upper abdomen You are progressing well and the response you have achieved so far is reassuring continue the treatment with consistency and your symptoms should settle further if this particular pain continues beyond a couple of weeks then slight adjustment in medicines may be needed to correct the remaining imbalance without disturbing the progress already achieved

Yes in many cases it is completely curable by Ayurvedic treatment Chronic digestive issue typically requires treatment cycle of 40 to 90 days while symptom may disappears soon When you feel in upper back after eating is a referred pain it happens due to the gas pressure or inflammation Drink warm water throughout the day walks lonely for 100 steps after meal even if your diet is healthy avoid raw salad curd or heavy lentils

*Is IBS Completely Curable with Ayurveda?---- - Ayurveda views IBS (Grahani) as a functional imbalance of Agni (digestive fire) and accumulation of Ama (toxins). - The goal is not just symptom control but restoring digestive strength and intestinal balance. - Many patients achieve long-term remission with consistent treatment, diet regulation, and lifestyle changes. - “Complete cure” depends on how deeply the imbalance has affected your gut. Since you’ve had improvement already, further progress is very possible. ** Duration of Treatment— - IBS is chronic and relapsing, so Ayurveda usually requires 3–6 months of consistent therapy for stabilization. - After that, medicines are tapered, and maintenance is done through diet and lifestyle. - Since you’ve already completed 53 days, you may need another 2–4 months of treatment, with periodic reassessment. **About Your Upper Back Pain After Meals— - This is often due to acid reflux or diaphragmatic strain from bloating. - Ayurveda links it to Urdhwaga Amlapitta (upward movement of acid). - Dadimadi Ghrita is already helping, but you may benefit from: - Avipattikar Churna (3 g at bedtime with warm water) for acidity. - Gentle Vajrasana (sitting on heels) for 5 minutes after meals. - Avoid lying down immediately after eating. **Diet & Lifestyle Reinforcement— - Keep meals light, warm, and freshly cooked. - Avoid fermented, fried, and very spicy foods. - Maintain meal timings strictly. - Small walks after meals help prevent gas accumulation.

You need Pichchabasti treatment alongwith ayurveda medicines for that.

Hi Sir, 40 days back have taken virechana treatment.

but you need Pichchabasti treatment

Hello, It is a good sign that -sleep has improved -gas/bloating reduced by around 50 % This means your gut inflammation and vata imbalance are responding to treatment However, the upper back pain after eating suggest -persistent gas pressure/reflux in upper GI tract -possible stomach-diaphragm irritatiion -sometimes acidity or gallbladder strain can also refer to upper back Is IBS completely curable? -manageable long term -often controlled very well with Ayurveda + diet + lifestyle But -100% permanent cure forever depends on -stress levels -diet consistency -sleep -gut sensitivity -duration of IBS Since your symptoms already improved in 53 days -> this is a positive response How long may treatment be needed? for chronic IBS -intial improvement= 1-3 months -deeper stabilization= 4-6 months -lifestyle maintenance afterward Medicines are usually reduced gradually once digestion stabilizes About upper back pain after meals This symptoms should not be ignored if persistent please observe -is it worse after oily/spicy food? -any acidity/burping? -any nausea? -pain between shoulder blades? If pain is frequent, consider -LFT -ultrasound abdomen -Endoscopy if severe acidity/relux history Because sometimes upper GI issues mimic IBS Your current medicines appear ffocused on -gas reduction -gut healing -bowel regulation Now the next phase should focus more on -strengthening digestion gently -calming gut hypersensitivity -reducing post meal irritation Internal medications 1) Avipattikar churna= 1/2 tsp with warm water after meals =helps upper GI pressure and reflux tendency 2) Hinguvachadi gulika=.1 tab twice daily before meals =helpful if pain is gas/spasm related after meals Important diet advice -warm freshly cooked meals -smaller meals -early dinner -jeera fennel water Avoid -eating fast -tea immediately after meals -excess raw salads -large amounts of beans, chickpeas at night IBS recovery depends heavily on nervous system because your sleep improved first -> this strongly suggests gut brain involvement Continue -good sleep routine -stress reduction -regular meals timing These often matter as much as medicines Your improvement shows Ayurveda is helping youR IBS Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
