Seedha bolu ekdum se band mat karo. Tapering better hai. Aap 8 months se le rahe ho, to body aur mind dono adapt ho chuke hain. Kaise band kare (simple plan) Week 1–2: current dose ka 75% Week 3–4: 50% dose Week 5–6: 25% dose Week 7: stop Ek time pe sab band mat karo pehle compound medicines (Manasmitra, Mentat, Sumenta) reduce karo, phir single herbs (Ashwagandha, Brahmi). Allopathic medicines suddenly band mat karo (very important) Agar symptoms (anxiety, OCD thoughts, insomnia) badhe → dose slow taper karo Support Ayurvedic (safe continuation during taper): Brahmi ghrita → 1/2 tsp raat ko dudh ke saath Ashwagandha churna → 3 gm raat ko (optional, last tak continue kar sakte ho) Lifestyle (bahut important) Daily meditation/pranayama 15–20 min Proper sleep routine Mobile use kam karo raat ko

Hi Aap allopathy medicine ko tappering karke band kijiye … ayurvedic aap ek sath band kardoge toh koi problem nhi hogi Lekin fir bhi ayurveda mein aap ek medicine continue rakhna aur allopathy ko tapper krke band Krna

Ayurvedic medicines often can be tapered safely, but because you improved significantly, sudden stop se relapse risk zyada hai than true withdrawal. Week 1–2: 25% reduce total Ayurvedic dose Week 3–4: 50% reduce Week 5–6: Keep only most useful 1–2 medicines Week 7–8: Stop remaining slowly

Although stopping the Ayurvedic medicine suddenly usually does not cause any side effects, it is still advised that you stop both the medicines gradually.

Since you have been taking these medicines for 8 months and have seen improvement, do not stop them suddenly. Sudden withdrawal can bring back anxiety, sleep disturbance, or OCD symptoms. Best approach is gradual tapering. Reduce one medicine at a time, not all together. Start by lowering the dose to half for 2–3 weeks, then stop. After that, move to the next medicine in the same way. Keep allopathic medicines unchanged during this period. Maintain routine: Proper sleep, fixed timings Daily light exercise or yoga Avoid overthinking and irregular schedule At home: Brahmi tea or simple warm milk at night can help maintain calmness You can taper in this order (generally): Mentat / Sumenta first Then Ashwagandha Keep Brahmi till last for support Brahmi vati – 1 tablet at bedtime (can continue longer for stability) If you notice return of anxiety, sleep issues, or obsessive thoughts, slow down tapering instead of stopping completely. Take this process slowly over a few weeks for safe withdrawal. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)

You shouldn’t stop everything suddenly specially after 8 months of regular use and clear improvement. Even though these are natural medicines, your body and mind have adapted to them. Sudden withdrawal can destabilize the balance you’ve built. Medicine which can be stopped suddenly vs tapered Relatively safer to stop abruptly: Mentat Sumenta These are milder cognitive tonics; stopping them usually doesn’t cause strong withdrawal. Medicine better to taper gradually: Ashwagandha Brahmi Manasmitram These have more noticeable effects on anxiety, sleep, and mood stability. Practical tapering plan (simple and safe) You don’t need anything complicated: week 1–2: reduce dose to 75% week 3–4: reduce to 50% week 5: reduce to 25% week 6: stop If any symptom (anxiety, OCD thoughts, insomnia) increases → hold at that level for a few extra days instead of pushing forward.

Hello, If you’ve been on Ayurvedic support for 8 months and symptoms improved, don’t stop all Ayurvedic medicines suddenly, especially with OCD, insomnia, and anxiety in the background. Even though many formulation don’t cause classic withdrawal like some psychiatric drugs, abrupt stopping can sometimes lead to rebound symptoms (anxiety, sleep, disturbance, obsessive doubts returning) Better= taper, not sudden stop (especially since you are also on allopathic treatment and stability maters) 1) Gradual tapper over 4-6 weeks Reduce one medicine at a time not all together -first reduce combination formulas like Mentat/sumenta -then reduce ashwagandha tablet slowly -then taper brahmi capsules last (often kept longer for mind support) Generally -week 1-2= reduce dose by ~25% -week 3-4= reduce to 50% -week 5-6= alternate day dosing, then stop 2) Support during taper -Brahmi ghrita= 1 tsp with warm milk at bedtime for mental calm and support -Daily oil massage with warm sesame oil for vata calming -regular sleep timing, avoid caffeine excess, avoid fasting/skipping meals Important= continue allopatic medicines unchanged Do not change or reduce OCD/depression allopathic meds at the same time as Ayurvedic taper. change one system at a time so you can judge effects clearly Watch for relapse signs If these returns, pause taper -increased intrusive thoughts/doubting -insomnia worsening -anxiety surge -depressed mood or irritabilit My advice Since you improved significantly I wound not recommend one shot sudden stop. Tapering is safer then abrupt discontinuation Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

hello, i strongly advise you to discontinue the allopathic medication first gradually, while consulting with your prsecribing psyhiatrist and importantly do not self-taper them and continue ayurvedic ones because the dependency will be much higher and having ayurvedic ones in your corner will be a good support system. if you feel fine after withdrawing allopathic medication with proper guidance you can start reducing the dosage of ayurvedic ones also with the guidance of the doctor who prescribed it. if that is coming along without issues you can stop gradually entirely. I do not advise for sudden stoppage of neither medicines

Hello dear, Managing chronic conditions like OCD, depression, and insomnia requires a very careful approach when changing your medication routine, especially since you have been on these for 8 months. Ek sath band bilkul nahi karni chahiye. Even though these are Ayurvedic, your body and nervous system have adapted to them over 8 months. “Sudden withdrawal” se rebound insomnia (neend na aana), increased anxiety, ya irritability ho sakti hai. Aapko dose dheere-dheere kam karni hogi (e.g., 15 days tak half dose, phir alternate days) taaki aapka nervous system stabilize ho sake. Aap Allopathic medicines bhi le rahe hain, isliye dono medicines ke beech balance zaroori hai. Please apne treating psychiatrist ya doctor se consult karein bcz Allopathy aur Ayurveda ka interaction monitor karna zaroori hai. Ayurveda ke mutabik, OCD aur Depression “Manovaha Srota” (channels of mind) ki imbalance hai, jisme Vata (anxiety/doubting) aur Tamas (depression/darkness) badh jata hai. Withdrawal ke phase mein support ke liye aap ye medicines use kar sakte hain 1. Ksheerabala (101) Capsules Ye nervous system ko nourish karti hai aur Vata ko balance karti hai taaki withdrawal ke waqt anxiety na ho. Dose: 1 capsule din mein do baar, khane se pehle, halke garam pani ke sath. 2. Saraswatharishtam (with Gold) Ye ek classic brain tonic hai jo “Dhi” (intellect) aur “Dhriti” (courage) ko badhata hai, jo OCD ke doubting nature ko control karne mein help karta hai. Dose: 15-20 ml din mein do baar, equal quantity pani ke sath mila kar, khane ke baad. 3. Manasamithra Vatakam Agar aap purani medicine band kar rahe hain, toh ye tablet mind ko calm rakhne mein help karegi. Dose: 1 tablet raat ko sote waqt halke garam doodh ke sath.
