Rectal prolapse mainly worsens due to straining + weak pelvic support, so treatment focuses on reducing strain and strengthening tissues. What you should do: Never strain during stool passage Keep stools soft daily (very important) Sit in warm water (sitz bath) after bowel movement Avoid heavy lifting and long sitting on toilet Supportive Ayurvedic care: Triphala churna – 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water Arshoghni vati – 1 tablet twice daily after food Jatyadi oil – local application if irritation present Isabgol – 1–2 tsp if stools are hard Important: If prolapse is coming out frequently or needs manual repositioning → surgical opinion is necessary Early stage can improve with bowel control and strengthening, but long-standing cases need proctology review Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
