Instead of plain water, you should sip a cooling, carminative formulation throughout the day. This acts as a continuous Pitta-Shamak (Pitta pacifier) and aids digestion without causing irritation. •Coriander-Fennel Infusion (Dhanyaka-Mishreya Udaka) •Both coriander and fennel are highly praised in Ayurveda for being Seeta Virya (cooling in potency) yet Deepana (kindling digestion) without increasing internal heat. ••Ingredients: 1 tablespoon Fennel seeds (Saunf) 1 tablespoon Coriander seeds (Dhania Sabut) 1 Liter of Water •Method: Boil the water with the seeds for 5–7 minutes. Let it cool down to room temperature. Strain it into a copper vessel or a regular flask. •Usage: Sip this water warm or at room temperature throughout the day whenever you feel thirsty. Avoid drinking it ice-cold, as that impairs Agni (digestive fire). 2. Morning Detox Drinks (Choose One) To address the morning discomfort right at the start of the day, choose one of these highly effective classical remedies to line and cool the gastric mucosa. Option A: Cold Infusion of Coriander •(Dhanyaka Hima) - Best for Burning & Irritation •Dhanyaka Hima is a classical Ayurvedic preparation specifically indicated for Daha (burning) and Trishna (excessive thirst). •Method: Crush 1 tablespoon of coriander seeds coarsely. Soak them in a cup of water overnight (in a clay pot or glass bowl). In the morning, mash the seeds well into the water, strain it, and drink it on an empty stomach. You can add a small piece of Mishri (rock candy) if the irritation is severe. Option B: Fresh Bottle Gourd Juice (Lauki Swarasa) - Best for Instant Cooling Lauki is highly alkaline and acts as a natural antacid. •Method: Extract 100–150 ml of fresh juice from a sweet bottle gourd (always taste a small piece first to ensure it is not bitter). Add a few crushed mint leaves. Usage: Drink this fresh on an empty stomach in the morning. It immediately soothes the mucosal lining. Classical Ayurvedic Formulations (For Clinical Management) If the discomfort is stubborn, incorporating traditional herbo-mineral and herbal formulations will provide targeted relief: ••Avipattikar Churna: The premier classical formulation for Amla-Pitta. Take 3 grams (approx. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon) with lukewarm water or coconut water just before lunch and dinner. It helps clear excess Pitta downward through mild laxation. ••Kamadudha Rasa (Plain): An excellent Pitta-pacifying tablet containing natural calcium sources. Take 1 tablet (250 mg) twice a day, chewed or swallowed with a spoonful of milk or water, 30 minutes before meals. ••Avoid the “Three S’s”: Strictly avoid Spicy foods, Sour items (including fermented foods like idli/dosa, curd, and citrus fruits for now), and Stale/processed food. ••No Tea/Coffee on an Empty Stomach: Caffeine acts as a strong irritant to an already inflamed stomach lining. Switch to the Dhanyaka Hima or warm milk with a pinch of licorice (Yastimadhu) powder. ••Meal Timings: Do not skip breakfast. Prolonged fasting increases acid accumulation in the Amashaya. Eat smaller, frequent meals if a large meal causes fullness. ••Post-Meal Habit: Chew half a teaspoon of roasted fennel seeds and a tiny piece of Mishri after meals to assist digestion.
