Your symptoms indicate a possible imbalance in the digestive system, which can often be related to a disturbance in Pitta dosha, in ayurveda. Your diabetes history adds another layer, affecting your general vitality and digestive energy (Agni). Addressing these issues through Ayurveda may provide relief.

Firstly, your ayurvedic constitution or prakriti must be considered, but based on these symptoms, supporting digestive function and balancing your Pitta is crucial. Start with dietary adjustments. Favor cooling, easy-to-digest foods. Include more of steamed greens, vegetables like zucchini, and fruits such as pears and melons. Minimize spicy, sour, and fried foods as they may aggravate Pitta. Consumption of heavy foods could also stress your digestive system; hence prefer meals that are light and warm. Try to eat your largest meal at midday when digestive fire is strongest.

Hydration is vital. Regular consumption of water, but not ice cold, helps in maintaining digestion and facilitates the bowel movements you’re struggling with. Ayurvedic practice also recommends ginger tea, consumed in moderation, which can assist in better digestion due to ginger’s carminative properties.

For the difficulty in stool passing, consider Triphala every night before bed. This traditional herbal blend works as a gentle detox, supports digestion, and can ease bowel movements without creating dependency. One teaspoon with warm water should suffice.

Regular physical activity tailored to your capabilities is also necessary. Even light exercises such as brisk walking or yoga can improve circulation, metabolism, and digestion. Specifically, yoga asanas like Pavanmuktasana, Vajrasana, or Mandukasana are recommended for stimulating digestive organs.

Stress can impact digestion negatively. Techniques like meditation and Pranayama (breathing exercises) can balance the mind and enhance bodily functions.

Lastly, continue monitoring your blood sugar closely as it is integral to manage diabetes alongside digestion. Regular check-ins with your healthcare provider are also advised, particularly if symptoms persist or worsen. Remember to consult your healthcare professional before starting any new regimen, especially considering your diabetic condition.
