Small bumps in the genital area can arise from various causes, and an accurate diagnosis is vital. Since you’re already using an infection ointment and it hasn’t brought relief, it may be essential to consider other approaches alongside medical advice.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, genital bumps could be related to imbalances in the doshas, particularly Pitta due to its heat and inflammation association. Start by evaluating your diet and lifestyle habits. Consuming cooling and soothing foods like cucumber, aloe vera juice, and coconut water might help balance Pitta, while also avoiding spicy, acidic, or excessively oily foods that could aggravate it further.

Maintaining proper hygiene is key, yet, over-cleaning the area with harsh soaps can irritate the skin. Use mild soap with lukewarm water. Wearing loose, breathable clothing made of natural fabrics can also prevent further irritation and help the healing process.

In terms of topical treatments, a gentle application of pure aloe vera gel can help soothe irritation. Applying a paste of sandalwood powder mixed with rose water may provide a calming effect to the area.

However, given that these bumps could result from various underlying causes, it’s crucial to consult with a healthcare professional. They should determine whether a bacterial, fungal, or viral infection could be the root of the bumps.

And please remember, Ayurveda can offer supportive measures, but if symptoms persist or worsen, prioritize seeking professional medical intervention. Avoid self-diagnosing or trying multiple treatments at once without proper guidance, especially in sensitive areas like the genital region. Your healthcare provider will be able to offer guidance tailored to your specific condition.

The presence of small bumps in the genital area can be concerning, and it’s good you’re seeking clarity on this matter. In the Siddha-Ayurvedic tradition, bumps can have several causes, such as a vitiation of doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha, or might be due to heat or blocked channels (nadis) in the body. Since you’re already using infection ointment with no relief, it might be worthwhile reconsidering your approach.

First, ensure to maintain good hygiene. Gently wash the area using lukewarm water mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder, known for its antiseptic properties. After cleansing, dry thoroughly to prevent any moisture accumulation, which can exacerbate certain skin conditions.

Consider evaluating your diet to manage potential dosha imbalances that may be causing these bumps. Avoid spicy, oily, and excessively sour foods that can increase Pitta. Introduce cooling and calming foods such as cucumbers, melons, and coconut water to soothe the body’s internal heat.

Internally, taking a decoction of neem leaves can assist in purifying the blood and alleviating skin eruptions. Boil a few fresh neem leaves in water, simmer until it’s half its original volume, and consume this once a day.

Topically, you might try applying a paste made from sandalwood powder and rose water. This combination can help in cooling and calming the skin. Apply it for 15-20 minutes and wash off gently.

However, if these measures do not bring improvement, or if the bumps increase in size or number, or if there’s unusual discharge or pain, it’s important to promptly consult a healthcare professional. They could determine if a specific intervention is necessary or if there’s an underlying medical condition that requires attention. Being cautious is key in matters involving health and wellbeing.
