Brighter and glowing skin at 14 years old, that’s a common concern, and through Ayurveda, we can gently support your skin’s health. Firstly, maintaining a balanced diet is crucial for skin radiance. Focus on incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables, which are high in antioxidants. Foods like carrots, tomatoes and spinach are excellent as they nourish the skin from within. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, aiming for at least 8 glasses a day.

A daily skincare routine with natural ingredients can help too. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type, twice daily, to remove dirt and impurities. For a simple, effective mask, try mixing a teaspoon of turmeric with yogurt to create a paste. Apply this to your face and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. Turmeric has antibacterial properties and supports healthy skin.

Regularly practice gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells. A mix of oatmeal and honey acts as a natural scrub. However, don’t over-exfoliate – once or twice a week is sufficient. Pay attention to your sleep schedule as well, aim for 8 hours of restful sleep each night to allow your skin to repair and rejuvenate. Avoid toxic habits such as smoking or excessive sun exposure, wich can be damaging.

Engage in regular physical activity, like yoga or walking, which improves blood circulation and, as a result, helps in nourishment of the skin tissues (Dhatus). This, in turn, contributes to a healthy glow. Prioritize stress management as well, since stress can negatively impact skin health. Practicing meditation or deep breathing exercises can be beneficial.

Also, consult your guardians or a healthcare provider if you’re considering any supplements or treatments to ensure they align with your specific health needs.
