This looks like chronic wet eczema behind ear, commonly similar to Vicharchika in Ayurveda with Kapha-Pitta dominance. The wet discharge, crusting and recurrence cycle usually means the skin is not drying and healing completely internally. Avoid Curd, cheese, bakery, fermented food Excess citrus, pickles, tomato, chilli Scratching or removing crust forcefully Chemical shampoo, hair dye, perfume near ear Ayurvedic treatment short: Internal: Gandhak Rasayan 2 tablets twice daily after food Mahamanjisthadi Kwath 15 ml + equal warm water twice daily before food Khadirarishta 20 ml + equal water after lunch and dinner If constipation or heat: Avipattikar Churna 1 tsp at night with warm water External: Clean gently with sterile cotton Apply Nimbadi Taila or Mahamarichyadi Taila very thin layer twice daily If too much wet discharge, first apply Yashtimadhu churna lightly for drying, then oil after few hours Diet Neem leaves 5–7 tender leaves morning for 15 days Drink coriander seed water daily Keep gut clean and bowel regular

Namaste. Your symptoms look like chronic weeping eczema with recurrent inflammation behind the ears. The wet → crust → wet cycle usually indicates ongoing skin irritation with pitta-kapha imbalance. I generally advise this : • Mahamanjishthadi Kwath – 15 ml with equal water twice daily • Gandhak Rasayan – 2 tablets twice daily • Khadirarishta – 15 ml with equal water after meals • Neem Capsule – 1 capsule twice daily • Dermawin Ointment – apply thin layer on affected area Avoid scratching, sour/spicy foods, stress and keep the area clean and dry. Usually gradual improvement is seen in a few weeks with regular treatment.
Hello, From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms the “wetness” (kapha/pitta imbalance), the localized intensity, and the tendency to recur suggest a deeper Rakta-pitta (blood/metabolic heat) and Kapha involvement. Excess intake of citrus fruits (which can be amla and vidahi acidic and irritating to the blood) likely acted as the nidan (trigger), while stress and gut health provided the underlying terrain. Prescription : 1. Internal Medication Manjishtadi Kashayam: This is the gold standard for blood purification (raktashodhaka) and cooling inflammation. Dose: 15 ml diluted with 60 ml of warm water, twice daily, 30 minutes before food. Guggulu Tikthaka Ghritam: This helps in healing chronic, weeping skin lesions and regulating the inflammatory response. Dose: 1 teaspoon (approx. 5 ml) with warm water, twice daily, on an empty stomach. 2. External Application Nalpamaradi Keram: This is excellent for soothing inflamed, crusting skin and promoting healing. Application: Apply gently to the affected area behind both ears using a clean cotton swab. Leave it for 30–45 minutes, then gently wash with lukewarm water. Do this twice daily. Triphala Churna (Wash): Before applying the oil, it is very helpful to clean the area with a decoction of Triphala to clear the crusts without force. Preparation: Boil 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder in 200 ml of water until reduced to 100 ml, strain, and let it cool. Gently pat the area with this liquid to clean the weeping surface. Avoid Physical Removal: Do not peel or force the crusts off, as this physically restarts the kleda (weeping) phase. Let them soften and fall off naturally with the application of the oil. Dietary Note: Maintain your current avoidance of spicy/sour items. In Ayurveda, Dahi (yogurt) and fermented foods are strictly contraindicated in cases of active eczema as they increase kleda. Stress Management: Since you mentioned stress as a factor, consider Brahmi or Ashwagandha if the stress persists, as Manasika factors directly influence Pitta and skin health.
••Ayurvedic Pathophysiology (Samprapti) In Ayurveda, your presentation strongly correlates with a type of Kshudra Kustha (minor skin affliction), closely resembling Vicharchika (which matches wet/weeping eczema). ••Here is how the doshas are playing out in your condition: ••Kapha Dosha (The Weeping & Blisters): The initial “mustard-sized blisters” (Srava), the continuous oozing of clear/yellowish fluid under the crust, and the location in the skin folds are classic signs of aggravated Kapha and Kleda (excess moisture/toxins). ••Pitta Dosha (The Trigger & Inflammation): Your instinct about the Citrus maxima (Pomelo) is spot-on. Excess sour (Amla), sharp (Teekshna), and heating (Ushna) foods instantly agitate Bhrajaka Pitta (the Pitta residing in the skin) and vitiate the Rakta Dhatu (blood tissue). Stress acts as a major catalyst here, further fueling Pitta. ••Vata Dosha (The Crusting & Flaking): The dry flakes and crusting show Vata trying to dry up the moisture. When the crust is prematurely removed, the underlying, unhealed Kapha-Pitta exudate leaks out again. ••Because this occurred in your childhood as well, there is an underlying Kha-Vaigunya (inherent weakness in the tissue spaces) behind your ears, making it a preferred site for toxins (Ama) to settle. ••Line of Treatment (Chikitsa Sutra) To break the Wet \rightarrow Crust \rightarrow Weep cycle, we must simultaneously dry up the deep-seated Kleda (moisture), purify the Rakta (blood), and soothe the skin barrier without trapping the infection. 1. External Management (To Break the Local Cycle) ••Strict Rule: Do not pick or force the crusts off. Let them fall off naturally. Removing them manually re-traps the skin in the inflammatory phase. ••Kshalana (Washing/Soothing): Wash the area gently with a lukewarm decoction of Triphala Churna or Neem leaves. Both are highly astringent (Kashaya) and bitter (Tikta), which actively dry up the weeping (Kleda-shoshana) and act as natural antimicrobials. Pat completely dry with a clean, disposable tissue. ••Lepa/Taila (Topical Application): While it is actively weeping, heavy oils can sometimes trap heat. A dust of Tankan Bhasma mixed with a little honey or clean water can help dry it out. •Once it shifts to the dry/crusting phase, classic formulations like Marichyadi Taila or Mahatiktaka Ghrita are excellent for healing the skin barrier without allowing it to crack and weep again. 2. Internal Purification (To Cleanse the Root) Since the gut is “good but not perfect” and the blood is carrying the inflammatory markers, internal herbs are crucial: ••Rakta Prasadana & Shodhana (Blood Purifiers): Classical formulations like Kaishore Guggulu or Panchanimba Churna are specifically indicated for stubborn, weeping skin conditions. They contain herbs like Guduchi, Triphala, and Neem which calm Pitta and dry Kapha. ••Kusthahara Kwatha: Mahamanjisthadi Kwatha or Khadirarishta help cleanse the lymphatic system and blood, preventing the bilateral spread you experienced. ••Deepana/Pachana (Gut Optimization): Ensuring smooth bowel movements is vital to flush out Pitta. A mild laxative or bowel regulator like Avipattikar Churna (taken at bedtime with lukewarm water) helps direct the aggravated Pitta downward (Anulomana) and away from the skin.
Hi, weeping have stopped a lot during these months but the crust area have moist under it. the skin seems to rapidly regenerating and getting off instead of healing without additional crust. i am a vegetarian. and rarely eat packed foods. i have thin body, introvert nature, no acne or other health issue as far i know. could be fatty liver because i spend most time on computer chair. could you review the suggested answer and help with relative solution?
Yes …you can use this line of treatment this is very effective according to your symptoms… The therapeutic objective here is twofold: dry up the residual sub-crust moisture (Kleda Shoshana) and cool the rapid cellular turnover (Pitta Shamana) without trapping the toxins. ••External Management (Bahiparimarjana) •Avoid Thick Oils/Ointments Early On: Do not apply heavy oils or heavy moisturizers directly onto an area that is moist underneath. Trapping that moisture can trigger a secondary infection or worsen the peeling. ••Astringent/Antiseptic Washing (Kshalanam): Wash or gently sponge the area with a lukewarm Triphala Kwath (decoction) or Nimba (Neem) Kwath. The astringent (Kashaya) and bitter (Tikta) tastes will naturally dry up the damp Kleda under the crust and stabilize the tissue. ••Dry Healing Applications: Once gently patted fully dry, a thin application of Jatyadi Taila or Marichadi Taila can be considered only if the area is mostly dry. If it remains highly moist, an Ayurvedic dusting powder or a soothing, non-clogging herbal paste (Lepa) like Durdurapatradi or plain purified Shatadhauta Ghrita (100-times washed ghee, which is incredibly cooling for rapid Pitta peeling) is often preferred. •Internal Management (Antaparimarjana) •Blood Purifiers & Fluid Dryers ••(Raktaprasadana & Kledashoshana): Classical formulations like Mahamanjishthadi Kwath, Kaishora Guggulu, or Panchanimbadi Vati are highly effective at clearing blood-borne toxins and soothing the rapid skin peeling. ••Liver Support (Yakrit Uttejana): Since long sitting times can compromise liver metabolism, integrating a mild liver corrective like Bhumi Amala (Phyllanthus niruri) or Arogyavardhini Vati can address both the potential fatty liver and filter the circulating Ama affecting your skin. 3. Dietary & Lifestyle Adjustments Being a vegetarian who avoids packed foods is an excellent foundation. We can optimize this further: ••Dietary Tweaks: Focus on Tikta (bitter) and Madhura (sweet/nourishing) foods. Incorporate vegetables like bottle gourd (Lauki), ridge gourd (Turai), and bitter gourd (Karela). Avoid foods that ferment easily or heat the blood—such as excessive sour curd, tomatoes, citrus fruits, fermented batters (Idli/Dosa), and heavy spices. ••Counteracting the Sedentary Routine: Since you spend hours on a computer chair, integrate “Micro-breaks” every 45–60 minutes. Stand up, stretch, or practice 5 minutes of deep abdominal breathing (Pranayama like Sheetali or Anulom Vilom to cool internal Pitta). This physical movement stimulates Vyana Vayu and prevents metabolic toxins from pooling in the lower body or skin layers. ••One more thing how to you know fatty liver r u done USG ••And more details you can take my personal consultation…
Hi, thanks for your help. fatty liver i know could be because of the body shape, thin chest, body but slight high fat near mid part / stomach. this could be again because i do very little movement and no weight related work. I would definitely love to go for the consultation but i am not sure the charge need to be paid each time or can get helped until it get healed. Thank you again.
••Thanx for the compliment… ••My charges is 299rs And you consultation is valid for 6 days…and in 6 days you can ask anything at any time …I am available… Have a great healthy life… •• i would suggest some you walk or little pushup or yoga •And for fatty liver you can take 1. Arogyavardani vati 1-0-1 after food with normal water 2.kalmegha tablet 1-0-1 after food with normal water…
This pattern (weeping → crusting → again wet) behind the ear suggests chronic eczema with possible secondary bacterial infection + skin barrier weakness. It needs both drying + healing + infection control. Avoid scratching or forcibly removing crusts. Keep the area dry, especially after bathing. Avoid oils, heavy creams, and sweat accumulation behind ears. Jatyadi taila – very thin application twice daily Neem leaf wash (neem boiled water, cooled) – clean area once daily Gandhak rasayan – 1 tablet twice daily after food Khadirarishta – 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food If oozing increases, pain, or spreading redness occurs, it may need a short course of antibiotics along with treatment. With consistency, this cycle usually breaks in a few weeks. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
Thank you for providing such a detailed, thoughtful history of your condition. Rx 1.Gandhak Rasayan 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.Kaishore guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Mahamanjisthadi kwath 15 ml with 15 ml water twice daily after meals 4.Khadirarishta 15 ml with 15 ml water twice daily after meals 5.Jatydadi taila- local application twice daily after cleaning the area with triphala or neem water **The golden rule for weeping eczema in Ayurveda is: If it is wet, dry it. Do not apply heavy, sticky oils to a weeping wound. Strictly Avoid: Fermented foods (idli, dosa, curd/yogurt, cheese), pickles, vinegar, bakery items containing yeast, excess salt, and highly acidic fruits (citrus fruits, tomatoes). Favor: Bitter and astringent vegetables (bitter gourd, bottle gourd, ridge gourd), mung dal, and cooling spices like fennel, coriander, and cumin.
