Dr. Pragya Gaur
Experience: | 12 years |
Education: | Rishikul Post Graduation Ayurvedic Govt College |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am mostly focused on treating lifestyle disorder, obesity, pcod, sleep problems and mental health related issues that are becoming way too common these days. I try to see the root cause, not just the symptoms… sometimes it’s digestion, sometimes stress, sometimes habits that we dont even notice. Ayurveda really helps connect those dots in a natural way.
When I work with obesity or PCOD cases, I look at metabolism, hormones, daily routine — all that stuff that affects balance inside the body. It’s not just about herbs or diet, though that matters a lot — it’s also about understanding how the body responds to food, sleep and emotions.
Sleep disorder and mental health are kind of linked too, right? I see many who cant sleep well because the mind just doesn’t stop running. I use Ayurvedic principles like dosha balancing, meditation guidance, and simple daily corrections (even minor ones make huge change!).
Sometimes I wish more people trusted natural healing methods before reaching last stage of burnout. anyway— that’s what keeps me doing this everyday. Helping people find their calm again, even if slowly. |
Achievements: | I am proud that I could secure a govt seat for BAMS at Rishikul Ayurvedic Government College, Haridwar — that was a huge step for me honestly, lot of hard work and late nights went into that. Later, in 2020, I got AIR 1 in the CRAV exam conducted by Rashtreeya Ayurveda Vidhyapeeth Sansthan, Ministry of Ayush, Delhi… still feels unreal sometimes. That gave me a rare chance to study under Guruji Vaidhya Shrikrishna Khandel in Jaipur for a full year (2020-21), learning deeper roots of classical ayurveda, real practice not just theory. |
I am an Ayurvedic doctor with around 9 years of experiance in general ayurvedic medicine, still learning every single day honestly. My aim has always been simple — to serve people with care, empathy & a sense of real connection, not just prescribe herbs and move on. Ayurveda for me isn’t just treatment, it’s a way of living healthy, understanding the body’s balance and restoring it naturally... sometimes it takes time but that’s the beauty of it. Over these years, I’ve worked with all kinds of patients — from chronic lifestyle issues to everyday health imbalances — and what I’ve seen again n again is how powerful the classical Ayurvedic principles are when applied with patience and consistency. I focus on holistic healing, using personalized diet plans, herbal medicines, detoxification methods, and lifestyle guidance that fits into modern life (because not everyone can follow strict regimens right?). I believe compassion and clear communication are as important as any medicine. People come in worried, confused, and my job is to make them feel heard and guided, step by step. I always say — the treatment begins the moment you start trusting your body again. Sometimes I think about how Ayurveda is still misunderstood or underestimated, but that’s why I keep trying to make it accessible, relatable. If my small effort helps even one person rediscover health the natural way, that feels worth it.
