Dr. Prajakta Satish Sutar
Experience: | 2 years |
Education: | Hon. Shri. Annasaheb Dange Ayurved Medical College |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery graduate, completed my degree between 2018 and 2023, and I have been slowly building my clinical experience step by step. During my training period I also attended a Life Skill program in 2022, which helped me understand patient communication, behaviour and the softer side of medical practice that often gets ignored.
I have also completed a Diploma in Advanced Aesthetics in 2021, which added a different layer to my understanding of skin, body care and cosmetic related concerns. Along with this, I worked as a Junior Resident at Gomantak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre, where I got exposure to academic work, OPD handling and patient follow-ups.
At present, I am pursuing my MD in RSBK, which allows me to deepen my knowledge in Ayurvedic diagnosis and management. I try to balance theory with real clinical experience, and sometimes it gets challenging, but that is where real learning happens. I focus on understanding the patient as a whole, not just symptoms, and try to apply Ayurvedic principles in a practical and realistic way. |
Achievements: | I am focused mainly on patient well being and long term health improvement, and that has always been my main achievement. Over time I have worked with many patients dealing with chronic issues, lifestyle problems and daily health concerns, and my aim is always to guide them toward better balance and recovery. I believe real success comes when a patient starts feeling better in daily life, not just on reports. I try to listen carefully, understand small symptoms, and adjust treatment slowly. Sometimes progress is slow, sometimes faster, but seeing patients feel stronger again gives real meaning to my work. |
I am working as a medical professional with hands-on experience in different hospital settings, and most of my learning has come directly from patient care. I started my practical journey as a trainee at Desouza Hospital in February 2023, where I got early exposure to daily clinical work and patient handling. After that, I worked as a medical intern at K.G. Mittal Ayurvedic Hospital from March 2023 to September 2024, where I was involved in OPD, ward rounds, case documentation and basic treatment planning. Alongside this, I have also worked as a medical casualty intern at Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital from September 2023 onwards, handling emergency cases, patient monitoring and quick decision making, which really improved my confidence and judgement under pressure. I also served as a ward RMO at New JP Hospital, Vasai West from April 2023 to September 2024, managing in-patient care, follow ups and coordination with seniors. In parallel, I have been providing online consultations since January 2023, mainly for skin issues, hair problems, weight gain and weight loss concerns. I try to keep my approach practical and patient focused, sometimes things don’t go perfectly but learning continues every day. My aim is always to understand the patient properly and guide them in a way that fits their daily life, not just prescribe and move on.
