27 years
Education:
Gujarat Ayurved University
Academic degree:
Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda
Area of specialization:
I am mainly working as a specialist in Panchkarma and osteoarthritis management, and this has slowly become the centre of my daily practice. A lot of my time goes into planning Panchkarma therapies for joint related problems, where stiffness, pain and reduced movement affects normal routine more than people expect. I focus on classical Panchkarma procedures along with careful assessment, not every patient needs same steps, sometimes this takes time to decide. In osteoarthritis cases, I try to understand how degeneration started, age, weight, work pattern, even sleep, all of this matters. Treatment is not just about relief, but supporting joints gradually. Some days results are visible early, some days progress feels slow and that can be frustrating, but consistency usually helps. My approach stays practical and patient based, with emphasis on body response rather than fixed protocol. Panchkarma is powerful but needs right timing and follow up, which I take seriously. After working with many such cases, I still keep learning, adjusting plans, and trusting the process, even when it tests patience a bit.
Achievements:
I am honoured to have received the Ayurved Ratna Award in 2023, which felt like a quiet recognition of many years of work. I also serve as a member of the Ayurveda Council, where policy and practice often overlap in complex ways. Earlier, I was part of the senate syndicate of an Ayurveda University in Gujarat, that role shaped my academic thinking. I am also a trustee at Niranay Bhavan, which keeps me connected to service work. Some days balancing all this feels heavy, but it also feels meaningful.

I am working in the field of Ayurveda and Panchkarma for around 25 years now, and this journey has shaped the way I look at health and healing in real life. Over these years, I have seen many changes in patients needs, lifestyles, and expectations, yet the core principles of Ayurveda still hold strong for me. Daily clinical practice, observing patterns again and again, has taught me things no textbook ever fully explains. My work mainly involves Ayurvedic consultation along with Panchkarma therapies, where treatment is not rushed and body response is watched closely. I focus on detoxification, balance of doshas, and gradual recovery, because quick fixes rarely last. Some cases improve fast, some take time, and I have learned to respect that pace even when patients feel impatient, sometimes I do too. With long hands on experience, I pay a lot of attention to planning Panchkarma properly, not just the procedures but also preparation and post care, which many overlook. I try to guide patients in simple daily habits, food choices, and routines that actually fit into their life, not ideal ones on paper. After so many years, I still feel there is more to learn, and that keeps me careful, observant and grounded in my practice.
