Dr. Jayesh Thakkar
Experience: | 13 years |
Education: | J B Roy State Ayurvedic College & Hospital |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am deeply focused on Ayurved Samhita and Siddhanta, the basic principles that form foundation of classical Ayurveda. My work mostly revolve around understanding core concepts like tridosha, dhatu, mala, agni, srotas and how they actually apply in real clinical life, not just books. I spend lot of time with original samhita texts, sometimes reading same shloka again and again, because meanings change with context.
I like breaking complex siddhanta into simple logic for students and patients, though I sometimes feel I go too slow or too deep. My interest stay strong in fundamental Ayurvedic philosophy, pramana, roga–rogi pariksha and chikitsa siddhant, which guide all treatment decisions. Without strong basics, treatment feels incomplete to me, even confusing at times.
I try to connect ancient principles with todays health problems, lifestyle disorders, digestion issues, mind–body imbalance etc. Some days it feel challenging to keep purity of texts with modern needs, but this balance matter. My approach remain rooted in Samhita based Ayurveda, practical, principle oriented, and not shortcut driven,, even when it take more effort. |
Achievements: | I am honoured by local bodies as well as at national level for my work as a youth physician, and honestly it still feel little unreal sometimes. These recognitions came during early phase of my practice, which pushed me to take more responsibility in patient care. Being acknowledged by professional and community platforms gave confidence, but also pressure to stay ethical and consistent. I see these awards not as final achievement, but reminder to keep learning, improving, and serving better,, especially for younger population and preventive health focus. |
I am an Ayurveda consultant with more than 10 yrs of clinical experience, and the journey still feel like learning everyday. I work with wide range of cases, some simple, some very complex, and each patient teach me something new in own way. I am founder of Jay Ayurveda, and through this platform I try to provide Ayurveda services everywhere, not limited to one place only. I completed my B.A.M.S. from Kolkata, and presently pursuing my M.D. Ayurveda from Vadodara, which keep me deeply connected to classical Ayurvedic texts and modern clinical thinking. As a classical Ayurveda physician, I focus strongly on understanding prakriti, vikriti, digestion, and lifestyle patterns before starting any treatment. Medicine is important yes, but diet and daily routine play a bigger role than many realise, I see this again and again in practice. My approach usually combine Ayurvedic medicine prescription with practical diet advice and lifestyle correction, because without that results feel incomplete. Some days progress is slow and that can be frustrating, but sustainable healing need time and patience. I try to explain things clearly, though sometimes I feel I explain too much maybe, but patient clarity matter to me. My work is rooted in traditional Ayurveda, but adapted for todays life, which is not always easy but necessary.
