Dr. Rasika Gajanan Konde
Experience: | 3 years |
Education: | BAMS. MD |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am focused on Gynaecology and Panchkarma, and this mix feels natural to me even if sometimes it looks unusual on paper. My work stays centered on women’s health concerns managed through Ayurvedic gynaecology along with traditional Panchkarma therapies. I deal with menstrual irregularities, hormonal imbalance, reproductive health issues, and recovery support, using detox and purification methods when they are actually needed, not just by habit.
I am careful about how Panchkarma is applied in gynaecological conditions, because timing, body strength, and prakriti really matters, and ignoring that can create problems. My approach stays practical, sometimes slow, and very individual based, which patients do not always expect at first. I rely on classical Ayurvedic assessment, gentle counselling, and step by step treatment planning. Some days feel straightforward, others confusing, but this combined specialization keeps me attentive, slightly cautious, and deeply involved in long term care rather than quick solutions!!! |
Achievements: | I am currently pursuing my PG, and this feels like a important step in my professional journey, even if it sometimes stretches me thin. This ongoing postgraduate training helps me deepen my clinical thinking, refine Ayurvedic diagnosis, and stay updated with gynaecology and Panchkarma practice. Balancing study with real patient care is not always smooth, few days feel messy, but the learning is constant, practical, and very real, pushing me to question and improve daily!!! |
I am a doctor who worked at DY Patil Institute in the Panchkarma department for 15 yrs, and that time really shaped the way I understand Ayurveda and patient care. My work there was focused mainly on classical Panchkarma therapies, detoxification procedures, and long-term disease management using Ayurvedic principles. Over the years, I was closely involved in both clinical practice and day-to-day treatment planning, which slowly built my confidence, though sometimes I still double check myself, just to be sure. I am trained through hands-on experience in therapies like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and supportive Panchkarma treatments, and I have seen how deeply these methods can effect chronic conditions when done properly. Working in an academic medical institute meant dealing with many complex cases, some responded well, some took time, and a few honestly tested my patience and understanding. Still, that process helped me grow as a Ayurvedic physician, not just technically but also in how I listen to patients, which I feel is often missed. I am someone who believes Panchkarma is not a quick fix, and I usually explain this clearly, even if patients seem dissapointed at first. My approach to treatment stays rooted in classical Ayurveda, with emphasis on prakriti assessment, personalized therapy planning, and gradual healing. After 15 yrs in an institutional setup, I value disciplined practice, ethical treatment, and realistic outcomes. I am still learning, still adjusting my methods, but the foundation from DY Patil Institute remains strong, even if I sometimes phrase things imperfectly or rethink my own decisions mid way!!
