Dr. Keyoor Dave
Experience: | 5 years |
Education: | Gujarat Ayurveda University |
Academic degree: | Master of Surgery in Ayurveda |
Area of specialization: | I am focused on Ayurvedic management of anorectal disorders, chronic inflammatory conditions, musculoskeletal pathologies and localized pain syndromes, along with select dermatological cases. Much of my work revolves around Kshara Sutra therapy, Agnikarma and minor surgical interventions, supported by structured postoperative Ayurvedic rehabilitation protocols. These procedures demand precision and patience, and I try to keep both intact, even on long OPD days.
In chronic disease management, I integrate Panchakarma protocols, customized herbal formulations and dietetic planning through Pathya–Apathya frameworks. Preventive Ayurvedic principles are not seperate from treatment for me, they are part of same continuum. I commonly manage osteoarthritis, rheumatoid disorders, degenerative musculoskeletal disorders and chronic skin conditions.
My approach is practical, classical and patient specific, though every case behaves little differently than textbooks suggest. Care plan are designed with attention to inflammation control, pain reduction and long term functional stability, not just temporary relief. It takes consistency, and sometimes patients struggle with that, but steady guidance usually makes difference. |
Achievements: | I am author of a published case study titled “Case Study of Raktamokshana (Blood Letting in Varicose Veins)” in International Educational Research Journal, 2023. In this paper I explored Ayurvedic Raktamokshana as therapeutic option for varicose veins, focusing on clinical outcomes and practical application. Writing it was challenging at times, data collection were intense, but it strengthened my interest in evidence based Ayurvedic surgery and vascular care. |
I am an Ayurvedic Surgeon trained in Shalya Tantra, currently working as a Surgical Resident at Shree Swaminarayan Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Kalol, and previously served as an Ayurvedic Consultant at Government Ayurveda Hospital, Amreli. My journey really shaped me in rural as well as institutional clinical settings, and I have seen what high-volume practice actually demands from a doctor. During my tenure at the Government Ayurveda Hospital (Jan 2022 – Jun 2022), I was providing free daily consultations to more than 100 rural patients. Access to affordable healthcare was not just theory there, it was daily responsibility. I managed 500+ OPD cases weekly, designing personalized herbal, dietary and Panchakarma-based treatment protocols for arthritis, chronic inflammatory disorders, and skin diseases. Through structured follow-ups, we observed nearly 40% reduction in complications, which honestly reinforced my belief in classical Ayurvedic surgical and para-surgical methods. I performed over 1000 minor Ayurvedic surgical procedures, including Kshara Sutra interventions and Agnikarma applications. These experiences gave me strong procedural confidence and rural healthcare adaptability, sometimes under limited resources, but still maintaining clinical sterility and discipline. Currently, as a Surgical Resident in Shalya Tantra, I have performed 300+ minor procedures, primarily Kshara Sutra therapy for anorectal disorders and Agnikarma for musculoskeletal and degenerative conditions. I maintain around 90% patient satisfaction rate, which reflects my focus on precision, post-operative monitoring and long-term integrative care plans. I also manage 30+ OPD cases weekly, combining Panchakarma therapies, internal herbal regimens, and procedural interventions for chronic inflammatory and dermatological cases. I actively participate in perioperative planning, sterilization protcols, and structured Ayurvedic postoperative care models. Alongside clinical duties, I have supervised and trained 15 junior residents, guiding them in aseptic techniques, minor surgical skill refinement and integrative care pathways. Teaching others sometimes makes me re-evaluate my own methods too, and that keeps my practice sharp. My approach is simple — evidence informed Ayurvedic surgery, patient-specific planning, and consistent follow up care. High case volume have shaped my competence, and every procedure still demands attention, focus and respect for classical principles.
