Academic degree:
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery
Area of specialization:
I am an Ayurvedic physician with primary focus on Panchakarma therapies and comprehensive Ayurvedic management of chronic and lifestyle disorders. My work often involves digestive and abdominal conditions such as IBS, IBD, liver dysfunction and other long-standing abd. problems that disturb daily life in quiet ways. I also treat infertility concerns, neuromuscular disorders, osteoarthritis, joint pain, and mobility issues where patients feel stiffness or weakness that just wont go away. Alongside these, I manage common but persistent illnesses like cough, fiver, blood presser imbalance, urinary disorders, and certain sexual health problems using classical Ayurvedic principles, diet regulation, and individualized medicines. I tend to look at the whole person — digestion, sleep, stress, strength — not only the diagnosis, becuase symptoms are rarely isolated. Panchakarma detoxification is used where suitable, but not forced on every patient… sometimes gentle correction works better. My aim is steady, sustainable improvement rather than quick temporary relief, even if progress feels slow at first!!
Achievements:
I am certified in C.C.P.T. (Certificate Course in Panchakarma Therapy) from NARIP, Cheruthuruthy, Kerala, which was honestly a turning point in how I understand detoxification and classical Ayurvedic procedures. The training was intense, very hands-on, and grounded in traditional methods rather than shortcuts. It helped me develop practical skills in Panchkarma therapies and patient-specific planning, not just theory, though learning never really stops… sometimes I still revisit notes becuse cases can be unpredictible!!

I am Dr. Vedprakash Kumar, an Ayurvedic physician and founder of Prakasha Aturalayam, and I try to practice Ayurveda the way it was meant to be practiced — personal, root-cause focused, not rushed. I completed my B.A.M.S. from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University in 2021, and later pursued specialized training in Panchakarma Therapy (CCPT) from the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Kerala in 2024, which honestly changed how I approach chronic disease managment. My clinical work has revolved around Panchakarma detoxification, Ayurvedic management of neuromuscular disorders, Udhar Rog, and Ano-Rectal conditions, including cases where patients had already tried many other treatments without much relief. I had served as House Surgeon/Physician at Jita Snukta Chikitsalaya under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and later as an Ayurvedic Medical Officer at Pola Hospital, Lucknow. There was also my time at Priya Health Care in Bihar, plus research work as Senior Research Fellow at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Patna — that phase taught me how classical texts and modern observation can actually work togethor. Right now, I provide both in-clinic care and telemedicine consultations, because not everyone can travel when they are unwell, and sometimes guidance itself makes a big difference. My focus is always individualized treatment — diet, lifestyle, medicines, therapies — not one-size-fits-all plans. Ayurveda, when applied carefully, does not just suppress symptoms but tries to restore balance at a deeper level, though it may take patience. Your health really matters to me, and I try to listen fully before prescribing anything, even if the consultation runs a little longer than expected sometimes.
