Dr. Vinu Sugathan
Experience: | 11 years |
Education: | Mannam ayurveda co operative medical college pandalam kerala |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am specialized in traditional Keraliya Panchakarma therapies, focusing on authentic Kerala style detoxification and rejuvenation treatments that work on the root of disease, not just surface symptoms. My approach also includes counselling and basic psycholgy support, because mind and body rarely function seperate, and ignoring one usually slows recovery.
I practice Sujok treatment as a supportive method for pain relief and functional balance, along with Yoga, naturopathy, and guided Meditation to improve long-term wellbeing, not only quick fixes. Many patients come with stress-related issues, fatigue, chronic pain or lifestyle disorders, and I try to combine these systems in a way that feels practical, not overwhelming.
Treatment plans are individualized according to body constitution and present condition, though sometimes progress feels slow at first but becomes deeper over time. I aim to create a calm healing space where patients feel heard, understood and not rushed!! Natural healing needs patience, consistency and a bit of trust in the process, which isnt always easy but usually worth it. |
Achievements: | I have worked as Medical Officer in the Indian System of Medicine on contract basis, handling Ayurvedic patient care in a goverment setup where cases were often complex and resources not always ideal. Later I served as Project Medical Officer under the Social Justice Department for the Vayo-Amirtham project, focusing on elderly health support and community care.
I also worked as Senior Medical Officer at Santhigiri Ayurveda and Siddha Hospital, managing clinical treatments and Panchakarma-based care. Each role shaped my practical skills, though the workload was sometimes intense and unpredictable!! Still, it gave real-world experiance that textbooks dont fully prepare you for. |
I am an Ayurvedic doctor with over 6 years of clinical experiance, along with 2.5 years of teaching in the deptartment of Panchakarma, and honestly both roles shaped how I look at patients now. In daily practice I focus a lot on Panchakarma therapies, especially traditional Kerela Panchakarma procedures, because I have seen how deeply they can support chronic conditions when done properly, not rushed or mechanical. My work also includes counselling and basic psycholgy support, since many physical complaints are tied to stress, habits, or things patients dont always say directly. I try to listen first, treat later… sometimes that alone changes half the picture. I also practice Sujok treatment as a complementary therapy, using it where appropriate to reduce pain, improve energy balance, or support ongoing Ayurvedic care. Teaching experience helped me stay updated and more precise, because students ask questions you cant ignore, and that keeps knowledge alive rather than routine. I prefer a practical, patient-centered approach rather than textbook perfection, tailoring therapies to each person’s body type and condition, not just the diagnosis. My goal is simple, to offer safe, authentic Ayurvedic treatment with clear guidance patients can actually follow at home. Healing takes time, patience, and teamwork between doctor and patient, and yeah, sometimes progress is slow but meaningful. I aim to support that journey in a grounded, honest way, without overpromising or complicated medical jargon!!
