Dr. Himank Prakashchandra Mehta
Experience: | 4 years |
Education: | Gujarat Ayurved University |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am mostly working around gynaecolgy related problms and lifestyle disorders, because in real practice these two rarely stay seperate.. period irregularities, hormonel imbalance, PCOD, thyroid disorders, infertility or sudden weight gain — they all overlap more than people think. I try to look at patterns rather than single symptoms, sometimes even small daily habits tells more then reports.
Many women reach me after years of ignoring early signs like hairfall, acne, mood shifts, fatigue that dont match their age, and they are often told its normal, but I dont fully agree with that. I usually spend time understanding their routine, sleep cycle, digestion, stress level and food timings, since these lifestyle triggers quietly disturb the reproductive health.
On lifestyle side, I also handle stress-linked insomnia, acidity, headaches, borderline sugar and gut issues. I like starting with simple changes like fixing dinner timing or adding weekly abhyanga, not every plan works at once but I keep adjusting untill the body settles again. |
Achievements: | I am a BAMS graduate, completed years of rigorous lectures, demanding exams and intense clinical postings that shaped my base in Ayurvedic diagnostics and patient care. Those early patient interactions taught me how classical principles actually works in real life situations. I learned that healing is not just about treatmnt, but also about understanding people, their habits and daily patterns, even when cases looks simple at first. |
I am practicing Ayurveda from last 2 years, and honestly these two years teached me more than many textbooks ever could. In daily pratice I meet real patiens with real problems, not the perfect “model case” we read about, and that pushes me to rely on my clinical training, observation, and careful listening every single day. My work mainly focuses on practical Ayurvedic healing, the kind people can actually follow in daily life, not just theory written in classical lines. Many patients come with digestive disorders like constipation, indigestion or IBS, others with chronic fatigue, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, piles, acne or skin issues that dont settle even after trying many treatments. I usually dont rush into herbs or Panchakarma straight away, I first try to understand the why behind the disease — why now, why this pattern, why this body response, that question guides my chikitsa planning more than anything else. In these 2 years of OPD exposure, I have seen how small neglected habits create bigger health issues. Some patiens even break down while explaining sleep problems or hunger changes, things nobody asked them before. One case of back pain made me realise how stress and gut imbalance can connect in unexpected ways, we worked step by step through Ahara (diet), Vihara (daily routine) and simple oil therapies, progress was slow but steady... and that stayed with me. I still consult seniors when needed, still double check classical references late at night, and yes sometimes confusion happens about which reference fits best, but I show up fully prepared for each consultation. Whether its menstrual health concern, long standing digestive complaint or lifestyle disorder, I try to approach each patient with attention and sincerity, treating every case like someone close to me, becuase that feels like the only honest way to practice Ayurveda right.
