Area of specialization:
I am trained in Panchakarma, like formally—with an MD that went deep into theory *and* hands-on practice for 3 full years. And yeah, that does shape how I look at disease... not just “what’s the label,” but what’s going wrong in the internal balance. I mostly work with musculoskeletal pain, neuro conditions, gut and metabolic stuff—plus detox needs where ppl just feel overloaded, stuck or burnt out in a way that’s hard to explain but real. My thing is combining classical Panchakarma techniques with Kerala-style formulations—they’re strong, very rooted, but also super effective when matched properly to the case. I don’t just throw all five karmas at every problem... it’s more like finding the one or two procedures that really match *that person’s* stage of disease, their strength, their prakriti, etc. Sometimes even just proper Snehana & Basti can do more than 5 meds together if timed right. Honestly, the idea is not just relief, it's recovery. Clean the channels. Reset the Agni. Bring the mind back to sattva. That’s the work.
Achievements:
I am someone who really values grounded work and ideas that challenge the usual. I got the Best Paper Award during the KRIYANVESHAN 2022 national webinar for my presentation on "Scope of Research on Fundamentals of Ayurveda"—which, honestly, felt good 'cause that topic doesn't always get attention but it should. Also got a Certificate of Appreciation for serving as a Corona Warrior during the pandemic... wasn't easy, lot of unknowns, but we just showed up & did what had to be done.

I am Dr. Varinder Singh, BAMS from Dayanand Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar and MD in Panchakarma from DMIMS, Wardha. Most of my time now goes into doing what I really believe in—using classical Ayurvedic knowledge (especially Panchakarma) to help people clean out the clutter, physically and mentally both. That detox isn’t just about the body. When done right, it rewires the whole system. And honestly, it's not just a therapy... it’s a re-set button for a lot of ppl who feel stuck in chronic patterns. At Apex Institute of Ayurveda & Hospital in Varanasi, where I worked as Assistant Professor in Panchakarma dept, I had a chance to see theory meet the ground. You learn a lot fast when you’re handling both students and patients side-by-side. Clinical part especially gave me clarity on where to tweak protocol and where not to compromise tradition. I worked on many cases ranging from frozen shoulder to neuro-degenerative stuff, obesity, diabetes complications, cervical spondylysis, anxiety etc. Many people don’t realize how wide the scope of Panchakarma really is. My approach is not about "doing all five karmas every time", but understanding what that person needs *right now*. I try to keep it structured, but not stiff. There’s always room for adjusting, whether it’s Basti-based therapy or just a proper dietary shift that’s overdue. I do rely on modern diagnostic inputs—bloods, scans, even stress markers—just to build a better case picture before starting treatment. But once we begin, it’s fully rooted in Ayurvedic fundamentals. What matters to me is long-term clarity, not quick-fix comfort. That means working on lifestyle, counselling, food, timings, sleep, emotions... yeah, the whole package. Patients don’t come just to “get treated,” they want *understanding*. And I try to offer that without sugar-coating the effort it’ll need. I don’t claim to have all answers, but if someone’s willing to show up for their healing—we’ll figure it out together. Clean slate, one step at a time.
