Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am mostly into treating PCOD, infertility, joint pain (esp knees), and chronic skin issues that just don’t budge with usual creams or pills. Honestly, these conditions — they usually have deep layers. Like PCOD isn’t just about periods getting delayed, and knee pain isn’t just about wear and tear. There's often poor digestion, dosha imbalance, hormone shifts, even mental burnout hiding behind it all. You can't just treat the surface and expect it to fix itself, right?
My work is more about getting to the bottom of why things are going off. I rely a lot on classical Ayurvedic principles — dosha analysis, proper use of herbal meds, and yes, Panchakarma when it’s really needed. I don’t rush into it though. Each person’s plan is diff., has to be. Some respond fast, some need weeks, but I try to keep it practical and not overwhelming.
Women come in with fertility concerns, painful cycles, weight gain... sometimes just feeling “off” and no one's told them what’s actually wrong. I spend time listening, breaking things down, guiding them on food, habits, herbs — things that actually help long term!! Skin cases too — eczema, acne, or random rashes — they need inner correction, not just topical stuff. |
Achievements: | I am certified in Clinical Cosmetology & Trichology — yeah, not the usual combo with Ayurveda but honestly it helps a lot when treating skin & scalp issues in a more rounded way. Also did focused training in Ayurveda cosmetology and product formulation... which kind of pulled me deeper into understanding how herbs actually work *together* not just alone.
During the 3rd wave of COVID, I managed 117 teleconsults under Project Step One — all remote, all fast, all real ppl who needed proper support. Also joined the Aacharya Rasayana webinar by Sitaram Ayurveda Research Foundation, really helped refresh a few core concepts I almost forgot! |
I am an Ayurveda doctor who kinda got my base training the rough and real way — straight from the wards. Started off as an RMO at Makara Ayurveda Hospital in Mundur, Thrissur. That phase taught me a lot — not just about classical treatments or herbs, but the whole actual grind of inpatient care... managing patients round the clock, coordinating with therapists, monitoring response to therapies, especially Panchakarma. Wasn't always smooth, but it gave me this solid understanding of how Ayurveda works in hospital setups, not just theory. After that I moved to Ayurveda Mana, Perumbayil (also in Thrissur) as RMO. That’s where I really started seeing more varied and chronic cases — joint diseases, spine issues, hypertension, gut-related disorders, and metabolic stuff like diabetes or thyroid cases. The team there was v. traditional and I got to apply more targeted Ayurvedic protocols along with practical Panchakarma sequencing. It's different when you’re dealing with lifestyle diseases — takes time and patience, but the shifts are real when the line of treatment is clear and followed right. Currently, I work as a Consultant Physician at Kottakkal Aryavaidyasala in Bangalore. Here, things are faster-paced. I'm mostly into OPD now, though sometimes we coordinate inpatient care too. My main focus is delivering personalized Ayurvedic care — not just based on symptoms but factoring in dosha imbalances, prakriti, agni, all that. Patients often come in with mixed complaints... stress, fatigue, irregular digestion, chronic back pain — and I try to break it down for them without going overboard with jargon. Over these years, I’ve got hands-on exp across outpatient and inpatient systems, handling both acute and long-term care. I work with therapies, diet, herbs, and sometimes just routine corrections. My main goal is simple: bring people closer to Ayurveda that actually works — no shortcuts, no fancy packaging. Just rooted, safe, effective healing that’s built on tradition and clarity.
