Dr. Priti Rekha Das
Experience: | 8 years |
Education: | Srimanta Sankaradeva University Of Health Sciences |
Academic degree: | Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda |
Area of specialization: | I am mainly focused on Ayurvedic management of digestive and systemic disorders, coz that’s where I feel most health issues start. Many of my patients come with chronic indigestion, acidity, gastritis, liver problems, piles, fistula, kidney related troubles that often dont improve with only short term medicine. I try to understand the root imbalance, whether its poor agni (digestive fire), wrong diet or stress and then design a plan that fits into their daily life not just theory.
Apart from gut and systemic issues, I also work a lot with skin and hair disorders—like acne, psoriasis, eczema, dandruff, hair fall. In my view they are not just external, usually linked to digestion, hormones or mental stress, so I dont only give creams or oils but combine diet correction, herbal formulations, Panchakarma when needed and small lifestyle tweaks.
Each treatment I plan is personal, based on prakriti of patient and the exact condition (vikriti). Sometimes it’s a Panchakarma therapy like Basti or Virechana, sometimes only diet chart and herbs are enough. I like to add yoga, breathing practices or simple routines that support long term balance. My main aim is always to reduce dependency on heavy medication and guide toward sustainable wellness.
In short, I look at every patient as unique case, not just a disease name. That approach keeps me grounded in Ayurveda’s core idea—healing by restoring balance inside and outside. |
Achievements: | I am a certified Food & Nutrition Expert and right now working as Senior Consultant at SKM Ayurveda Institute, Geetanagar. Earlier I was a Research Fellow with CCRAS and also worked as State Coordinator for Noncommunicable diseases plus as Scientist B at National Institute of Nutrition. These roles gave me deep exposure in clinical n research side, helping me connect nutrition, preventive health & Ayurveda in a way that feels practical and holistic for patient care. |
I am Dr. Priti Rekha Das, working as an Ayurvedic consultant for more than 10 years now, mostly with focus on digestive disorders and systemic conditions that often trouble people long term. My work stay rooted in classical Ayurveda but also i like to keep it practical for modern lifestyle. Over these years I treated patients with indigestion, chronic gastritis, liver related problems, kidney disorders, piles, fistula and a whole lot of complaints that connect to gut health and metabolism. I realized early that the digestive system is like the center wheel, if it goes off balance everything else starts showing issues, and that idea guides much of my practice even today. I prefer using minimal medicines when possible, instead focusing more on correcting diet, daily routine and mental balance. A lot of patients who come to me already tired of too many pills, so I try to design diet charts that actually fit in their routine not just theory. I often integrate simple therapies like Abhyanga or Basti where required, along with yoga and mindful daily habits. It’s really about building a rhythm in life again. Through years of handling patients across age groups I learnt that symptom control is never enough. For instance, acidity keeps coming back unless we see what’s causing it — late nights, wrong food habits, stress triggers. Same with anorectal disorders like piles or fistula, where only surgery is not the solution, people need guidance on diet, bowel habits and long term lifestyle support. I like to sit with patients, ask about their history in detail, sometimes even small things like their food timings or work stress open the door to right treatment. At my clinic I also combine Panchakarma detox when it suits, like Virechana for liver conditions or Basti for chronic gut issues. These therapies, done properly, reset the system and make medicines work better. I see Ayurveda not just as a treatment but a partnership with patients, helping them heal in a way that feels natural and sustainable. My aim stays simple: restore balance, improve quality of life and let people feel in control of their health again.
