Dr. Brijesh Kumar Verma
Experience: | 1 year |
Education: | North-Eastern University Of Ayurveda |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am mainly working with digestive problems, skin care, anorectal issues, cosmetology and also mental health concerns that come along with them. Many of my patients come with long term indigestion, acidity, IBS type symptoms or piles and fissures that disturb daily life. Others seek me for acne, pigmentation, dandruff, or hair fall.. and I see that these often link back to digestion, stress or hormonal imbalance. My approach is not only about giving a medicine, but to find the dosha imbalance and treat from root.
I rely on herbal formulations, Panchakarma when needed, and diet correction based on prakriti and lifestyle. Sometimes even small changes like meal timings or stress handling can make huge diference, but in some cases we need proper detox, like Virechana or Basti, to reset the system. With skin and hair issues, I don’t stop at surface treatments, I try to correct inside issues too so results last longer.
Mental health is also a part of my focus.. many patients with digestive or skin disease feel anxiety, low confidence, sleep problems. I try to support them with counseling, simple yogic routines, herbs like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, and daily practices that settle the mind. My goal is to combine these elements into a plan that feels doable and brings balance, not just symptom control.
Whether it’s chronic acidity, piles, stubborn acne or stress related problems, I keep my focus on long term wellness and sustainable healing with authentic ayurvedic care. |
Achievements: | I am someone who keeps trying to learn more, I finished few certified courses that helped me sharpen my clincal skills and also gave me more depth in ayurvedic concepts. One thing I still feel proud about is winning a National Ayurveda Quiz, it wasn’t easy but it reflected the effort I put into my studies and the passion I hold for traditional medicine. For me these achievements are less about title and more about building confidence to serve patients better. |
I am Dr. Brijesh Kumar Verma, completed my BAMS from NEIAH Shillong, which gave me a strong base in classical ayurveda. Alongside that formal study, I always felt the need to go deeper into specific areas, so I took certificate courses from BHU and NIA Jaipur.. both places gave me different kind of exposure, like how preventive care can be applied practically and how therapeutic interventions need to be fine-tuned for each patient. Those learnings stick with me even today in daily practice. Right now I am working as a Resident Medical Officer, and this role really keeps me grounded. Being there round-the-clock means you see everything from minor issues to complex chronic cases, and you learn to make quick decisions but still with compassion. Hospital setting has pushed me to grow, to balance clinical accuracy with patient’s emotions, because people don’t just bring symptoms, they bring their worries, family pressure, sometimes even fear. In treatment, I focus on finding the root cause instead of patching symptoms. My plans are not cookie-cutter, I try to study prakriti, vikriti and then design a mix of herbs, Panchakarma where suitable, and lifestyle changes that are doable. I also stress preventive care, simple dinacharya and diet corrections can make a big shift if someone is willing to commit. Ayurveda for me is not only old wisdom but something that must adapt to current times. I like staying updated, reading newer clinical work, and merging that with authentic principles. Patients deserve ethical care, no shortcuts, and I want to keep refining myself as a physician who can deliver sustainable healing. Each consultation I see as a chance to bring someone a little closer to balance—body, mind, spirit—and that thought keeps me moving forward everyday.
