Area of specialization:
I am an Ayurvedic doctor who focus mostly on gynecological, skin and metabolic issues, because those are the areas where I’ve seen people struggling the most without getting lasting answers. In women’s health, I work with cases like irregular periods, infertility, pelvic pain that just keep coming back, or the difficult menopausal phase where body and mind both feel out of sync. Each of these need a careful look at dosha balance, diet, stress, and daily routine before deciding treatment. On the dermatology side, I treat conditions like eczema, acne that never really goes away, psoriasis flare ups, pigmentation, plus hair and scalp concerns like hair fall, dandruff etc. Skin and hair in Ayurveda is always connected to digestion, stress, hormones and even sleep, so I try to address all those together not just give a cream or oil and send patient away. I also see many cases of metabolic imbalance like pre-diabetes, sluggish digestion, weight gain tied with stress or hormonal shifts. Here Panchakarma, herbs, diet correction, and small lifestyle tweaks can make big change. My goal is always to treat root imbalance not just manage symptoms. Sometimes it takes longer, sometimes patient get results quicker than they expect, but I believe in steady progress and long-term wellness. Every plan I make is personal, using classical therapies like Abhyanga, Basti, Shirodhara or just a simple but powerful ahar-vihar guidance. My approach is patient centered, compassionate and practical, aiming not only at recovery but helping people feel balanced in daily life again.
Achievements:
I am actively involved in academic work and have presented few research papers at diffrent national and academic conferences, which really gave me space to share and also learn from other practitioners. Right now I’m working on my thesis that looks at Marma therapy in managing lumbar spondylosis.. my focus is on how it can help with chronic back pain and improve spinal health. This research is close to me since many patients suffer daily with such pain and need more effective Ayurvedic answers.

I am Dr. Aswathy K.P, and for me Ayurveda is not just a proffession, it’s kind of a life path I follow everyday. When I sit with a patient, I don’t only look at their symptoms or reports, I try to see the whole picture—how they eat, how they sleep, what kind of stress they carry, even the small habits that affect balance. That’s why my consultations usually feel more like conversations than just a clinical exam. My training in classical Ayurveda gave me the tools to understand prakriti and vikriti, and I use that as the base for every treatment plan. Some patients need more herbal formulations, some need detoxification like Panchakarma or simple diet correction, others respond better when lifestyle and yoga are integrated. It’s always a mix, always personal, because no two bodies or minds are ever the same. I mostly work with lifestyle disorders—stress, hormonal issues, digestive complaints that never seem to settle, also chronic problems where people come after trying many other treatments. Over the years, I’ve seen how even small shifts like dinacharya or ritucharya, when practiced consistently, can bring deep healing. And yes, I do believe education is as important as medicine. Patients who understand their own body better usually heal faster and stay well longer. I see my role not only as a physician but also as a guide, someone who can support patients to find balance within themselves. Whether it’s using Abhyanga, Nasya, or just mindful living practices, my goal is always long-term health and not quick fixes. At the end of the day, what keeps me grounded is seeing people regain vitality and joy through authentic Ayurvedic care—it makes the hard work feel worth it, even on the long days.
