Dr. Sanjay P Varma
Experience: | 26 years |
Education: | Sheth J P Ayurved College Bhavnagar |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am Vaidya Dr. Sanjay P. Varma, working in Ayurveda for more than 25 years, mostly helping patients who feel stuck with long-term gastro intestinal and liver disorders. My main focus stays on correcting Agni, reducing Ama, and balancing Pitta–Kapha, becuase problems like chronic acidity, IBS, constipation and fatty liver dont really settle with surface level care alone.
I also handle chronic skin issues like psoraisis, eczema, acne and pigmentation, seeing them as Rakta–Pitta imbalance rather than just skin deep, which many people kind of overlook sometimes. Along with this, I work in psychosomatic and mental health areas—managing anxiety, sleep trouble, stress and mild depression using Satvavajaya Chikitsa and Medhya Rasayana, with attention to gut–mind balance, even when progress feels slow at times.
Lifestyle disorders like obesity, diabetes, thyroid imbalance, hypertension and dyslipidemia are managed with preventive and corrective Ayurvedic care, though patient compliance matter alot here. I also consult Ayurvedic pharmacies for formulation development and research documentation, paperwork can feel bit tiring but still important for safe practice. |
Achievements: | I am working in Ayurveda for more than 25 years and recieved many certificates for health awarness programs, clinical training and research lectures, which keep me movng forward even when work gets heavy. I was felicitaed by Lions Clubs for free medical camps and comunity service, and my role as Deputy Medical Superintendent in clinical governence were well acknowleged, though patient trust matter most to me always! |
I am Vaidya Dr. Sanjay P. Varma, an Ayurvedic physician with more than 25 years of clinial experince, and even now I feel there is always something new to learn from patients themselves, sometimes they teach more than textbooks do. At present I work as Deputy Medical Superintendent at an established Ayurved Hospital in Surat, and my days move between patient care, hospital administration, and clinical decision making, often all happening together without much pause and yes it can feel a bit demanding at times My qualifications include BAMS, PGDCR, MBA in Clinical Research Management, and a PhD, and this combination has shaped how I practise Ayurveda in a very practical way. My foundation stays rooted in classical texts like Charak Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, yet I also rely on structured clinical research methods to keep treatment safe rational and responsible. Over the years I have treat more than 1.25 lakh patients, which sounds like just a number, but honestly every case still feels personal and sometimes a little complex to handle I usually do not look only at disease labels, I spend time assessing Prakriti, Vikriti, Agni, Dosha, and Dhatu status before making decisions, even if it takes extra time and slows things down a bit. Treatment plans may include classical Ayurvedic formulations, Panchakarma when needed, diet planning and lifestyle correction, though not every patient follows everything perfectly and that is normal I guess With formal training in clinical research and hospital management, I have been involved in ethical clinical trials and systematic protocol developement, which helps me connect traditional Ayurvedic science with evidence based healthcare, even when balancing both worlds feel challenging at times!! My consultation style is detailed and sometimes intense because understanding the full patient context really matters before taking action. Through this platform, I try to offer authentic Ayurvedic guidance that is practical understandable and clinically dependable, while keeping the focus on restoring internal harmony, not just removing symptoms even if progress take a little longer than expected.
