Area of specialization: | I am into Ayurvedic skin treatment—like full focus on skin stuff, not just the surface but what’s *behind* it all. I deal a lot with psoriasis, eczema, acne that just won’t go away, weird flare-ups, chronic rashes, that kinda thing. What I try to do is get to the root of why the body’s reacting—dosha imbalance, toxin build-up, diet mismatch, stress—there’s always some combo. I work a lot with Panchakarma detox, but only when it’s needed and fits the person. Not everyone needs full virechana or heavy panchkarma, honestly.
Herbs play a big role in my plans, also meal tweaks, skin-friendly routines, and explaining how the healing works. Some patients come after trying years of creams, pills etc., and they’re tired. I get that. That’s where I step in with a deeper look, and we build from there.
I also look at autoimmune skin stuff—not easy, takes time, but Ayurveda gives tools for long-term shifts, not just coverups. Goal's always clear—clear skin, strong immunity, and balance that actually *stays*... not just for a few weeks. |
Achievements: | I am not too into awards tbh but yeah, I did get the Ayurvisharda Award for being 2nd topper in my final prof exam back in college—that was a moment. Baidyanath gave me another one for Ayurvedic studies, which felt kinda validating too. What stuck most tho was this one from Matrabhumi Foundation... they called it Best Doctor of the Year. That came after I diagnosed & managed 10 kids with CHD and Rheumatic heart stuff—early stage, which made a big difference. That kinda work hits different. |
I am the Clinic Head at Navjeevan Ayurveda and Panchakarma Clinic here in Almora, Uttarakhand—been doing this for more than eight years now. Most of my work’s around chronic issues, the kind that don’t just go away with quick meds. Juvenile polyarthritis, psoriasis, depression, other mental health stuff… I see a lot of that. And skin cases—some of them tricky, stubborn conditions that ppl have been dragging along for years. I try to go to the base of things, not just give something for rash or joint swelling or mood. You know? I use a mix of herbal medicines, proper Panchakarma when needed, n a lot of one-on-one custom planning depending on what the person actually *needs*. No fixed package stuff. Especially with auto-immune things, like joint pain that’s weirdly shifting or skin flares without trigger—it takes patience. I try to explain what’s happening in the body in simple way, because unless they get it, they don’t follow. Also work with diet changes, sleep routines… even how much screen time is affecting their vata. Tiny things matter. Mental health is another space I care about deeply. Too many ppl don't get attention unless it's severe, but Ayurveda actually has answers, esp for early-stage depression, burnout type of tiredness, or that vague anxiety that ppl live with without naming it. I work with calming herbs, mind-balancing routines, daily rhythm resets… no magic tricks, just slow, consistent rebalancing of the mind n nerves. Lot of focus on ojas and manas dosha healing. At the clinic, I keep things very patient-focused. Each treatment plan is built for that person—not just dosha-based, but real-life fitting. And I'm always learning too… sometimes I go back and tweak plans after seeing their response. Ayurveda isn’t static, and neither is healing. That's pretty much what drives my practice—a mix of tradition, constant study, and really listening to ppl.
