Dr. Bhawana
Experience: | |
Education: | Shivalik Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Dehradun |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am working in Ayurveda with a focus that’s kind of all over but also very clear in my head… I handle stuff like high BP, diabetes, digestion mess ups like constipation, hyperacidity, even those everyday things people think are “just normal” like headaches, colds, cough, fever. Then there’s the long-haul conditions — rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, liver issues like fatty liver, jaundice, hepatomegaly — which need a slower, steady plan. Skin problems are also a big part of my practice… psoriasis, eczema, acne, vitiligo, urticaria — they’re stubborn but respond when treated from the inside. I also work with piles, fissures, anemia, menstrual disorders like PCOD, and I kinda pay extra attention to making the plan fit the person not just the disease. And yes, I do Suvarnaprashan for kids — to boost immunity and growth in that natural ayurvedic way, which feels right to me even if it takes patience!! |
Achievements: | I am honestly still a bit surprised that I got First Rank at Uttarakhand Ayurveda University… it was for my BAMS and along with it I recieved the Academic Excellence Award. Guess all those late nights with books and case notes did count. My learning didn’t just stop there though — I took part in national-level conferences, met people from across the country, shared ideas, heard new research, esp. in women’s health care, and came back with more than just notes on paper. |
I am an Ayurvedic doctor who really trust in the old ways of healing, the kind that works with nature instead of against it. Over the years I’ve got pretty good at figuring out not just what’s wrong on the surface but what’s actually causing the problem inside. My work is all about looking at the whole picture — the person’s Prakriti, their daily habits, even the stuff they might not think matters — and then putting together a plan that feels right for them. Sometimes that means herbal medicines, sometimes Panchakarma detox, or just simple changes in diet and routine that make a big difference over time. I deal with all sorts of conditions, from high BP, diabetes, acidity, constipation, frequent headaches, seasonal colds or fevers… to the more long-standing things like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis. I also help people with liver troubles like jaundice, fatty liver, hepatomegaly, and then there’s the skin cases — psoriasis, eczema, acne, vitiligo, urticaria — all of which really need a patient approach. Women’s health is another area I focus on, whether it’s PCOD, irregular cycles, or giving kids a better start with immunity boosting through Suvarnaprashan. For me it’s not just about curing the body. If the mind is stressed or the spirit feels low, the body can’t really heal properly. That’s why I spend time listening… really understanding how someone eats, sleeps, works, and reacts to life. Then I try to make the treatment something they can actually follow, not something that feels like a burden. Ayurveda works best when it’s part of life, not an extra chore. Every patient teaches me something new, and I keep learning because I want to give the best care I can — care that’s gentle, natural, and leaves people feeling balanced again. In the end, my goal is simple: help them get well, and help them stay that way.
