Dr. Niraj Gupta
Experience: | 11 years |
Education: | Govt. Ayurved college, Nagpur |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am an Ayurvedic practitioner who keeps going back to the roots of classical healing, because that’s where I think the real depth is. My main work stays around Panchakarma therapy, which I use for detox, restoring balance and even preventing future troubles. I also do Agnikarma—kind of like therapeutic cauterisation—and Viddha Karma, a precise bloodletting method, both really effective when it comes to pain, joint stiffness or certain chronic musculoskeletal issues.
A lot of my patients come in with lifestyle disorders that don’t just affect the body but the mind too, and I try to connect the dots there. Being a certified yoga teacher helps, since I can blend specific yog-asanas, breathing and relaxation into their treatment plan without making it overwhelming.
Every plan is different, depends on the patient’s prakruti, the vikruti, and how ready they are to make small shifts in diet and habits. I like keeping it practical, even if sometimes Ayurveda has really elaborate steps, cause at the end it’s about something they can follow in their daily routine. |
Achievements: | I am kinda proud to be called a mentor in Ayurveda, guiding fresh doctors n students who are just starting out. I share both the book side and the real clinic side of things, coz theory alone never enough. Over time, I’ve done guest lectures in diff Ayurvedic subjects—sometimes on Panchakarma, other times on diagnostic skills—just depends on what’s needed. For me, it’s not just talking, it’s about showing how traditional methods actually work in day to day practice. |
I am an Ayurvedic consultant with a bit over 8 years in clinical practice, mostly working in Panchakarma therapy but honestly, I see it more like guiding people back to balance than just “treating”. My approach always circles back to classical Ayurveda—restoring dosha balance, clearing ama (toxins), and making changes that hold up in real life, not just on paper. I perform the full range of Panchakarma—Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, Raktamokshana—choosing what’s right for the patient based on their prakriti and vikruti. Supportive therapies like Abhyanga, Swedana, Shirodhara, Kati Basti also have a big place in my work, especially with neck-back issues, nerve related problems or when stress is just running too high. Over the years I’ve worked with cases of arthritis, cervical or lumbar spondylosis, digestive problems like IBS or acidity, skin disorders, hormonal changes, anxiety, fatigue syndromes… the list can stretch. I always feel like the real shift happens when we dig into the root cause instead of just chasing symptoms. That means asking a lot about food habits, sleep patterns, stress triggers, emotional state—things patients sometimes didn’t even connect to their main complaint. I also place a lot of focus on patient education. It’s not just about “take this medicine” but helping them see why ahara, vihara, dinacharya, ritucharya matter. And yes, making those rules fit into today’s rushed lifestyle isn’t always neat, but small steady changes often bring the biggest results. For me, whether someone comes in for seasonal detox, help with a chronic condition, or just to feel better overall, the aim stays the same—blend the depth of Ayurveda with a care plan that feels personal, achievable and actually makes them want to continue. Compassion, precision, and keeping things real… that’s what I try to bring to every case.
