Dr. Mudit Chauhan
Experience: | 6 years |
Education: | Patanjali Bhartiya Ayurvigyan Evam Anusandhan Sansthan |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am mostly working in Ayurvedic & para-surgical care for anorectal problems—things like piles, fistula-in-ano, fissures—where Ksharasutra therapy is kinda my main tool. It’s minimally invasive, doesn’t need huge cuts, and still gives long term relief when done proper. I also handle wound managment, especially those chronic or non-healing ulcers, mixing Ayurvedic healing methods with modern wound care steps. In cosmetology, I use research-backed Ayurvedic approaches for skin & hair concerns. Plus, I keep a strong focus on public health—designing community programs, lifestyle plans for metabolic issues like diabetes, obesity and MASLD. I like bridging classical methods with real-world preventive healthcare models. |
Achievements: | I am working as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Uttaranchal Hospital, handling both clinical ops and the admin stuff—sometimes feels like 2 jobs in 1. Managed 1000+ anorectal cases with Ksharasutra therapy, results mostly v.good when patients follow thru. Published work in Ayurvedic cosmetology too, exploring how it fits in modern care. Also lead public health drives, health camps in rural side, trying to make Ayurveda reach where its usually missing. Keeps me on my toes, in a good way. |
I am Dr. Mudit Chauhan, working as an Ayurvedic physician & also a public health professional, and honestly I try to keep both sides—classical Ayurveda & evidence-based modern healthcare—talking to each other instead of competing. Right now I’m serving as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Center in Dehradun. Which means yes, part of my day is managing clinical operations, ensuring quality care, and handling those hundred little things that keep a hospital running. On the academic front, I’m a Consultant and Assistant Professor at Uttaranchal University, mentoring students and trying to make sure they actually *get* the deeper logic behind Ayurvedic principles, not just memorize them for exams. My education is a mix—BAMS, then a Master’s in Public Health (Community Medicine) and now a Ph.D. in progress. This blend lets me connect the dots between preventive health, community outreach, and integrative care. Clinically, my special focus is on anorectal surgeries, chronic wound managment, and emergency care. I use Ayurvedic para-surgical methods like Ksharasutra therapy—particularly for piles, fistula-in-ano, and stubborn ulcers—because they’re minimally invasive and work for long-term relief if done right. I also dive into research, especially in Ayurvedic cosmetology, figuring out how traditional formulations can be adapted for modern skin & beauty concerns without losing authenticity. Lately I’ve been exploring digital health tools too—ways to make Ayurveda more accessible, personalized and maybe even easier for people who normally wouldn’t walk into a clinic. Whether I’m in surgery, teaching, or setting up a community program, my aim stays the same—to make Ayurveda a living, breathing healthcare system that heals disease but also improves how people live day-to-day. Not stuck in the past, but not losing its roots either... that’s the balance I keep chasing.
