Dr. Akanksha Raghuvanshi
Experience: | 1 year |
Education: | Dev Bhoomi Medical College of Ayurveda and Hospital |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am mostly treating both acute flareups n long-term chronic things, usin basic Ayurvedic principles that actually work—when u apply them right. Like I keep going back to Charaka n Sushruta to figure out what’s needed, not just what’s trendy right now. I mostly deal with digestion stuff, joint stiffness, hormonal weirdness, skin patches that don’t clear up, lifestyle-related messes.. that kind of thing.
Panchakarma is a big part of my practice, but not for show—it’s used only when it fits the case. Rasayana therapy too, especially for folks who’re just feeling worn out or want their system recharged. And Prakriti matters... like A LOT. I don’t push same treatment for everyone. Understanding who the person is first makes the plan work better, long run.
I also try to explane stuff properly. Most ppl come with zero clue about why they're sick—just symptoms. If we don’t talk basics like ahar-vihar, how’re they gonna heal?? I prefer slow, sustained correction over shortcuts. Quick fixes usually bounce back anyway.
Using classical formulations, not mix-match new age combo pills unless really needed. Ayurveda works best when you trust it’s original design, not dilute it down. Little messy days, some stubborn cases, but when someone finally gets relief.. that’s the real win. |
Achievements: | I am kinda someone who’s always been drawn to digging deep into Ayurveda beyond just books. Got awarded Best Presentation a few times at state n national seminars—stuff like Ahara and Pahal Kalpana really clicked with me. Not saying I was perfect, but yeah I did manage to stay in the Top 3 during most of my academic years. Teachers n classmates used to say my way of explaining things made sense, maybe bcoz I talk through real-world stuff not just theory. Took part in a bunch of workshops, paper contests, even intercollege meets—kept me sharp and honestly, I kinda enjoyed repping my institute. |
I am someone who believes deeply in the classical roots of Ayurveda—like actually following the fundamentals of Nidan, Samprapti, and Chikitsa rather than just skimming through symptoms. I’ve worked closely with patients struggling with long-term stuff—gastritis, arthritis, hormonal mess-ups, skin issues like eczema or acne, and all that lifestyle chaos modern routines bring. Chronic doesn’t scare me, it just means we need to dig deeper. In my consultations, I always begin with detailed Nadi Pariksha and Prakriti Parikshan. These aren’t just rituals—they’re like gateways into figuring what’s really going on inside. I don’t rush through it, even if the OPD is packed. And yeah, I tweak every herbal combo myself depending on their condition, their body type, how they eat-sleep-think—customising makes a world of difference. No two patients are the same right? Especially in Ayurveda, that’s the whole point. Where Panchakarma is required—I recommend it with clarity, not as a default. I’m involved in the entire process, right from pre-prep to post-care. It’s not just some detox trend, it’s science. My team knows I like to keep a close watch on therapies, dose adjustments, response checks—basically everything. I try and stay as organised as I can with records n follow-ups, even if some days feel like juggling too many charts. Diet and lifestyle advice is part of every consult, even if the patient just came in for ‘minor acidity.’ It's the small habits that spiral into big problems if ignored. I also coordinate with modern docs when needed. I'm not here to prove Ayurveda is the only way—I’m here to help ppl heal. If that means referring them to an ortho, skin specialist or getting a test done, I do that. Integration matters more than proving a point.
