is govind parikh’s book good for understanding ayurveda basics? need advice before buying - #1954

Anonymously

I’ve been interested in learning Ayurveda, not just for personal health but to gain a deeper understanding of its principles. I keep seeing recommendations for books by Govind Parikh, especially among Ayurvedic communities. I’m looking for a book that breaks down complex concepts into simple language because I’m new to this field and don’t have any medical background. Has anyone read Govind Parikh’s book on Ayurveda? Does it cover the basics well for beginners, or is it more suited for advanced practitioners? I don’t want to end up with a book that’s too technical and hard to follow. Also, does it include practical tips on diet and lifestyle changes? Would appreciate any honest reviews before I purchase it.

Govind Parikh’s books are well-regarded for their simplicity and practicality, making them suitable for beginners who are new to Ayurveda. Features of His Book: Beginner-Friendly: Concepts are explained in simple terms, ideal for those without a medical background. Covers Basics: Introduces Ayurvedic principles, doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), and their impact on health. Practical Tips: Includes recommendations on diet, daily routines (Dinacharya), and seasonal regimens (Ritucharya). Focus on Lifestyle: Offers actionable advice on integrating Ayurveda into everyday life.
