Hello I can understand your worry as a parent It is very difficult to deal with bed wetting till the age of 13 years ▪️Please share -What it frequency of bed wetting (daily at night time only or if he sleeps in day time then also bed wetting is present?) -did he had any truamtic experience in past (any horror movie or incident) -what all treatments you have tried earlier but didnt work? ▪️Ayurvedic Understanding According to ayurveda it is related to vata imbalance in majja dhatu that is nervous system This is not just issue wth urine but a neuromuscular control ▪️So the treatment should focus on -balancing the vata -Strengthening the bladder muscle -gradually bringing control ▪️Ayurvedic plan of treatment 1 chandraprabha vati 1 tablet twice daily after food Helps in strengthening the bladder 2 Ashwagandharistha 15 ml with equal quantity of water after food Helps in nervous system development Continue taking brento tonic ▪️External Care Before sleeping Dhanwanthram 101 - Apply few drops on lower abdomen and massage for 10 mins Keep hot water bag on lower abdomen for 5 mins ▪️Bladder training -Compulsorily make him urinate before going for sleeping -wake him at midnight around 2-3 am for urination -during day time if he has urge make him try to control ▪️Fluid -Avoid giving him water after 7:30 pm -make him have his dinner early before 7:30 ▪️Diet plan Include -Warm milk with pinch of turmeric in morning -ghee in smll quantity -give 1 tsp of sessame seeds with jaggery Avoid -too much liquids after 8 pm -cold drinks, jink foods -chocolates ▪️Important Dont punish ot embarrass him -encourage confidence Wishing him a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

At 13 years age bed wetting is called nocturnal enuresis and it needs proper attention because normally children gain control earlier but some children continue due to delayed bladder control deep sleep pattern stress or sometimes constipation or urine infection First understand that the child is not doing this intentionally and should never be scolded or punished as it is not in his control Make him pass urine just before sleep and once again after one to two hours of sleep by gently waking him Reduce fluid intake after evening and avoid milk tea coffee or cold drinks at night Check for constipation and correct it Encourage him to hold urine for slightly longer time during day to improve bladder capacity For Ayurvedic support you can give Ashwagandha aristha 10 to 15 ml with equal water twice daily Brahmi pearls one at night and Chandraprabha vati one tablet twice daily These help in calming the nervous system improving bladder control and strengthening urinary function Also apply warm sesame oil on lower abdomen and lower back before sleep to relax nerves and support bladder control With regular routine and these medicines bed wetting can reduce gradually and control can improve over time

Hello, Bedwetting at age 13 is quite common, especially when it has been ongoing for years and the child is otherwise healthy. In Ayurveda, this is understood as an imbalance primarily involving Vata dosha (especially apana vata) along with weak bladder control. Your son’s case (long duration, several Times a week , mild emotional avoidance, normal health fits into a chronic functional pattern , not a disease- so management focuses on strengthening control, not just stopping symptoms Ayurvedic view -Vata imbalance-> poor nerve control of bladder -Weak bladder tone -Deep seat pattern-> brain doesn’t signal waking -Sometimes mild kapha dominance (heavy sleep) Ayurvedic management plan 1) Daily routine (most important) consistency matters more than medicine Evening discipline (crucial) -stop fluids 2 hours before sleep -ensure urination twice before sleep (once early, once just before sleeping) Avoid -cold drinks -milk at night especially cold milk -heavy, oily, or sugary dinner Diet -warm, light, meals at night -whole grains= wheat, rice lightly spiced -moong dal easy to digest -dry fruits in small quantity almonds, walnuts -spices that strengthen bladder= cumin, ajwain, black pepper Avoid -cold foods ice cream, refrigerated items -excess sugar -packaged/ junk food -excess dairy at night Simple home remedies 1) Roasted ajwain + jaggery= 1/2 tsp ajwain powder + small piece of jaggery give after dinner =helps strengthen bladder control 2) Black sesame seeds = 1 tsp at bedtime =improves urianry control and warmth 3) Honey + cinnamon =1 tsp honey + pinch of cinnamon =before sleep Medicines usually not require External therapies -Oil massage= daily warm sesame oil massage on lower abdomen and lower back =this calms vata and improves nerve signaling -Gentle heat therapy= warm compress on lower abdomen before bed, helps bladder control Behavioural training= very important Your son’s attitude (“I’ll stop”) shows denial + coping, not lazziness What to do -avoid scolding or shame this worsens the condition -use a reward system, not punishment -encourage responsibility= let him help clean/manage discreetly -wake him once at night (temporary support, not permanent solution) Yoga and simple practices Daily even 10 minutes will help a lot -vajrasana after dinner 1 min -Ashwini mudra= control relax anal muscles (improves bladder control) -deep breathing before sleep Time line and expectations -Improvement usually starts in 4-6 weeks -Significant control in 2-3 months -complete resolution may take 3-6 months Consistency is key This is not abnormal at his age, just delayed control Focus on routine +gentle discipline + support Do follow Hoope this might be helpful Thank you
