Namaste, Post-infection gastritis (after COVID or viral illness) can cause persistent burning and reflux, as the digestive system becomes sensitive and weak for some time. Simple measures that may help: Eat light, soft, and easily digestible food like rice, moong dal, boiled vegetables, and porridge. Avoid spicy, fried, sour foods, tea, coffee, and packaged items. Take small, frequent meals instead of long gaps. Drink warm water, and avoid very hot or very cold foods. Do not lie down immediately after eating; keep a gap of 2–3 hours. Include soothing foods like buttermilk with roasted cumin or plain cooked rice water. Since your symptoms started after infections, the gut usually heals gradually with proper care and diet. Ayurvedic medicines sometimes used to support healing include: Avipattikar Churna – traditionally used to reduce acidity and support digestion. Kamdudha Ras – sometimes used to soothe gastric irritation and burning. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.
