Seeking Natural Remedies for Acne and Scars - #52100

I have pretty bad acne. When I eat a lot of sugary and spicy stuff I breakout. Currently right now, I have acne on my forehead, near my nose on my cheeks, chest, and back. I am using Vicco turmeric in the US and also using homemade treatments such as dal powder, oats, dahi yogurt, turmeric, and honey. It does calm down it a lot but I still have acne scars. I would like to treat my acne and scars/ pigmentation with products that you can find at my Indian home in America.

How long have you been experiencing acne?:

- More than 6 months

How severe is your acne on a scale of 1 to 10?:

- 7-9 (severe)

Do you have any known allergies or sensitivities?:

- Yes, to certain foods

–You have moderate to severe acne, which is why home remedies alone aren’t fully clearing it. Things like turmeric and yogurt can help calm the skin, but they don’t treat the root cause. Your breakouts are likely triggered by factors like excess oil, clogged pores, and diet—especially sugar, which you’ve noticed. I’d recommend continuing gentle natural care, but also adding a simple medicated product. –Internal Medicines: 1)Tab. Nimbadi Tablet 1 tablet twice daily after food 2)Mahamanjishtadi Kashayam 15 ml with equal water, twice daily before food — External Application: Nalpamaradi Keram Apply on face/body, leave 20 min, wash daily Ayurvedic Acne Soap For face, chest, back – twice daily —Pathya (Diet): Avoid: sugar, fried, spicy, junk food Take: light diet, fruits, vegetables, warm water – Follow-up: Review after 4 weeks

Acne coming on face chest and back and increasing after sugar and spicy food clearly shows a strong internal metabolic and inflammatory trigger and not just a surface level skin issue when high sugar foods are taken insulin levels increase which stimulates oil glands and inflammation leading to more breakouts spicy food in sensitive individuals can further aggravate this cycle This type of acne will calm temporarily with external applications like turmeric dahi oats but new acne keeps forming because the root cause inside is not corrected Internal correction is important Avipattikar Churna half teaspoon at bedtime with warm water helps reduce acidity and improves digestion which directly influences skin Manjishtadi Kashayam fifteen ml with equal water twice daily after food helps in reducing inflammation and improving skin clarity Khadirarishtam fifteen ml with equal water after lunch and dinner supports chronic acne and skin purification Externally Nalpamaradi Keram apply on face chest and back before bath for fifteen to twenty minutes daily helps reduce acne marks and improves uneven skin tone for active pimples apply a small amount of turmeric with honey only on lesions to reduce inflammation avoid applying thick layers on full face Homemade scrubs like dal powder and oats should be used only twice weekly and very gently because frequent scrubbing irritates skin and increases pigmentation Diet control is essential completely reduce sugar sweets bakery items and processed food as they directly worsen acne include simple home food vegetables fruits soaked almonds and add Flaxseed daily which helps reduce inflammation one cup Spearmint tea daily can help in reducing excess oil activity Maintain proper sleep avoid picking acne and keep routine simple and consistent improvement in active acne can be seen in three to four weeks and scars will gradually reduce over two to three months with regular care

Hello I can understand it is difficult to deal with severe acne along with post acne marks And most important it is recurring with triggers like diet change ▪️One thing good i noticed in your case is You have already noticed what triggers your acne ▪️For your understanding Your conditon is due to -Pitta with kapha imbalance -Along with this rakta dushti So only when you eat -Spicy and sugar foods= it flares up -you have acne on you face, chest and also back which means that you have systemic imbalance not just on your face ▪️Ayurvedic Plan of Treatment Internally ➖Sarivasam 30 ml twice daily afte food ➖Mahamanjistahdi kashaya 15 ml twice daily with equal quantity of water ➖Mahatiktakam ghrita 1 tsp at bed time followed by warm water ▪️External Care ➖For active acne Apply multani mitti + Rose water and add a pinch of turmeic Leave for 10-15 mins and then wash it off ➖For acne marks Best is using aloe vera gel in morning Kumkumadi taila at bed time Once a week apply swarnamumhi face pack for 15 mins ➖For chest and back acne Use neem wayer for bathing ▪️Avoid -Using too harsh scrub -touching skin without washing your hands Keep your skin routine simple ▪️Diet plan Include -warm freshly prepared food -moong dal soup -soaked Almonds -chia seeds soaked overnight ➖Lifestyle -do daily Suryanamaskara -Daily have 30-40 minutes walk -sleep before 10 pm -have dinner early Your acne is not just externally but it is due to internal imbalance So when we will work internally correcting your root cause you will definately get a clearer skin 😊 Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Your acne pattern is your skin is reacting to food and internal heat this is a classic pitta with some kapha involvement which is why you get breakouts with sugar and spicy food and also why it is on face chest and back You can start with nimbadi kwath tablet twice daily after food mahamanjistadi kwath 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food and triphala choornam 1 teaspoon at night with warm water Reduce sugar spicy fried and packaged food keep meals simple warm and clean For external use continue home remedies and can use swarna mukhi face pack can be applied daily for soothing and healing Avoid picking acne and keep your skin clean and simple With consistent internal and external care you will start seeing reduction in breakouts in few weeks and scars will gradually lighten over time
