How to increase estrogen and decrease testosterone in a male naturally? I do not want to take pharmaceuticals because I feel they are dangerous. I’ve read that reishi mushroom is a natural androgen blocker and pueraria mirifica may increase estrogen?

In Ayurveda, we do not aim to increase one normal and separate another without clear need because the body works on balance and disturbing it can create further issues. If there are no symptoms, it is better not to interfere unnecessarily still to support natural or Monal balance you can use medicines like Shatavari glam 1 teaspoon at night with warm milk Asoka aristham 3 teaspoon with equal amount of water twice daily after meals, along with that proper diet, good sleep and stress control will help maintain overall endocrine balance in a safe and natural way

Hormones should not be forcefully changed without a clear imbalance because in a male body testosterone is naturally the dominant hormone and estrogen is already present in a controlled smaller amount and when this balance is disturbed unnecessarily it can affect energy mood sexual health metabolism and even long term bone strength In modern science the body regulates hormones through a feedback system between brain and glands so increasing estrogen or blocking testosterone randomly can disturb this regulation instead of improving it when there are no clear symptoms like acne hair fall irritability low libido or fatigue strong intervention is not needed Substances like Reishi mushroom may slightly influence androgen metabolism but the effect is very mild and not enough to significantly reduce testosterone while Pueraria mirifica contains strong plant estrogens which can act on estrogen receptors but its effect is unpredictable in males and may lead to hormonal imbalance liver stress or mood changes with long term use A more stable approach is supporting natural hormonal balance one teaspoon flaxseed powder soaked overnight in warm water as Flaxseed provides lignans which give mild estrogen like support and help regulate hormone metabolism one cup Spearmint tea daily may help in slightly reducing free testosterone without disturbing overall hormonal strength Kalyanaka Ghritam half teaspoon in the morning on empty stomach with warm water or milk supports neuro hormonal balance Ashokarishtam fifteen ml with equal water after lunch and dinner gives mild hormonal support Shatavari Gulam one teaspoon at bedtime with warm milk supports tissue nourishment and fluid balance Saraswatarishtam ten to fifteen ml with equal water in the evening helps in regulating stress related hormonal fluctuations Applying Ksheerabala Tailam on lower abdomen and soles at night supports relaxation of the nervous system which indirectly helps hormone balance Diet should include good fats like ghee soaked almonds and fruits like pomegranate and avoid excess spicy fried and very high protein foods because they may increase androgen activity maintaining proper sleep before eleven pm helps in keeping natural hormone rhythm stable

Hello I can understand you want to balance your hormones naturally I will guide you honestly ▪️Understand this first Testosterone is naturally present in males and it is the primary hormones responsible for masculinity -It provides energy, muscle strength -balances male reproductive health In males also estrogen is present but in minimal quantity And against nature if we try to decrease testosterone and increase estrogen it may cause -fatigue -weakness -weight loss -loss of muscle mass So my first question to you is Why you want to change your hormones when you have no symptoms It will help us to help you in better way If you do not want to share then also its ok We respect your privacy ▪️About the natural remedy you asked ➖Reishi Mushroom -it has mild calming effect -so slightly it may modulate the hormones But no stong evidence is present as per my knowledge ➖Pueraria mirifica -it contains phytoestrogen (natural estrogen) -It can significantly disturb your hormones I will not advice to start with his without medical supervision ▪️Safe approach in your case If your goal is overall hormonal balance i will suggest you to achieve it through Diet and lifestyle changes ➖Diet plan Include -Have a intake of healthy fats like nuts or seeds -include seasonal fruits -cooked vegetabless -avoid any processed food or packaged food ➖Lifestyle changes Have a daily walk for 30-40 minutes Manage stress Do yoga and pranayama ▪️Ayurvedic support For hormonal balance 1.Shatavari gulam 1 tsp with warm milk twice daily after food 2 Ashokaristha 30 ml twice daily after food ▪️My honest opinion to you If you dont have any symptoms That means your body is already balanced So dont try to make alteration in your hormones Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Shatavari is an ayurvedic herb to and safe , it increases estrogen hormones naturally. Having home remedies will not increase hormones in its a very slow process. Also body organs play an important role in hormones production and balance.

Hi Suggesting ayurveda for something that may disrupt natural hormones will not work actually…In such cases better you take diet accordingly or can consult modern medicines

Natural Options Explored 1. Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) - Contains compounds that may inhibit 5‑alpha reductase, reducing conversion of testosterone to DHT. - Some studies suggest mild anti‑androgenic activity, potentially lowering testosterone’s effects. - Evidence in humans is limited; most data comes from lab and animal studies. 2. Pueraria Mirifica - Thai herb rich in phytoestrogens (miroestrol, deoxymiroestrol), which bind to estrogen receptors. - Can mimic estrogen more strongly than soy or flax. - In men, may cause hormonal changes, breast tissue growth, reduced libido, or fertility effects if taken in high doses. - Some sources highlight possible benefits for prostate health and skin vitality, but feminizing effects are possible. Lifestyle & Dietary Approaches— - Plant‑based foods with phytoestrogens: flaxseed, soy, sesame, fenugreek, chickpeas. - Reduce testosterone‑boosting triggers: excess red meat, high‑intensity weight training, anabolic supplements. - Maintain healthy weight: obesity can naturally increase estrogen via aromatization of testosterone. - Limit alcohol: excess intake disrupts liver metabolism and hormone balance. - Stress management: chronic stress alters cortisol, which indirectly affects sex hormones.

Namaste, It’s important to understand first that in a healthy male body, hormones like testosterone and estrogen are naturally balanced according to your physiology. Trying to increase estrogen and suppress testosterone without a medical reason is generally not recommended. Simple understanding: Testosterone is essential for strength, mood, metabolism, and overall health in males. Estrogen is also present in small amounts and has its own role, but artificially increasing it can disturb balance. Herbs like reishi or pueraria may have hormonal effects, but they are not safe to use for this purpose without supervision. Simple measures that may help (if your goal is overall hormonal balance): Focus on natural balance rather than suppression. Maintain healthy body weight, as excess fat can increase estrogen naturally. Avoid processed foods, excess sugar, and alcohol. Manage stress and sleep, as they affect hormones strongly. Avoid self-experimenting with hormone-altering herbs. If you have a specific goal (like body changes, symptoms, or medical condition), it is better to evaluate hormone levels through tests first and take guided treatment. Ayurvedic medicines are generally aimed at balancing hormones, not forcefully increasing or decreasing one hormone. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

Hello, First importaant clarity. don’t skip -You don’t have symptoms, ad concers is < 1month -> this is not a disease, just a mental concern -In Ayurveda, hormones= dhatu balance (especially shukra + majja + agni) -trying to artifically increase estrogen/ suppress testosterone without indication is NOT advised Also -Herbs like reishi/ pueraria mirifica -have some phytoestrogen activity in lab/animal studies -but no strong human evidence for meaningful hormonal shifts in males Most natural hormone manipulate claims are weak or inconsistent You cannot support balance, but not safely flip hormones naturally Ayurvedic view -High testosterone traits= pitta + rakta + strong digestion -Estrogenic/ softer traits= kapha +ojas + shukra nourishment So treatment= reduce excess heat (pitta) -increase cooling, nourishing (kapha/ojas) Diet most important -cow milk warm, night -ghee 1-2 tsp/day -soaked almonds -fennel + coriander water -sweet fruits banana, chikoo, dates These support shukra dhatu and mild estrogenic environment Avoid -excess spicy, fried, red meat -alcohol, smoking -high protein bodybuilding diet -onion/ garlic excess increase heat Lifestyle -sleep before 11 pm= regulates hormones naturally -avoid over exercising/ heavy gyms -do cooling practices= chandra namaskar, sheetali pranayam -reduce stress cortisol disrupts hormones Mind -stop obssessive checking about hormones -Ayurveda sees this as rajas imbalance Do -meditation 10-15 min daily -brahmari pranayam Internal medications 1) Ashokarishtam= 20ml + equal water twice after meals =mild phytoestrogenic effect 2) Shatavari gulam= 1 tsp with warm milk in morning =best for estrogen support and coolong 3) Saraswatarishtam= 15ml + equal water twice after meals =for mental calm + endocrine balance If heat. libido, pitta signs -Chandanavsava- 15ml + equal water twice after meals These reduce internal heat = indirectly balance testosterone Herbs you asked about honest review Reishi mushroom -may have mild anti androgen claims -evidence= very limited, not reliable Pueraria mirifica -contains phytoestrogen But -mostly animal data -no consistent human effect -can cause side effects at high dose Ayurveda does NOT traditionally recommned it Very important -natural method can -support balance -improve overall endocrine health But they cannot -significanlty feminize a male body -replace medical hormone therapy Even community expeiences aggree changes are minimal without medical treatment “not enough to do much” (user discussion) Don’t try to force estrogen increase/ testosterone decrease naturally Instead= cool body + nourish shukra + calm mind Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
