The most critical thing is that modern medications should never be stopped or reduced abruptly, especially after a stroke. Drugs for blood pressure and blood thinning (anti-platelets/anticoagulants) are essential for preventing a second stroke. Any “weaning off” must be a slow, supervised process that only occurs once the patient’s clinical markers (BP, HbA1c, and lipid profile) have stabilized within a healthy range for a significant period. Dietary Management (Ahara) • Diabetes (Madhumeha):Use grains like barley (Yava) or millets instead of refined white rice or wheat.  • Hypertension & Cholesterol: Reduce salt and heavy, oily foods. Incorporate garlic (Lashuna), which is traditionally used to support healthy circulation and lipid levels.  • Post-Stroke: Ensure food is warm, easy to digest, and fresh to maintain Agni (digestive fire).

Lifestyle and Rehabilitation (Vihara) Post-stroke recovery focuses on restoring movement and calming the nervous system. • Physical Activity: Gentle joint movements or supervised Yoga can improve circulation without straining the heart. • Stress Management: High blood pressure is often linked to mental stress. Practices like Pranayama can help soothe the nervous system.  Potential Ayurvedic Support While specific prescriptions depend on a physical examination, certain herbs are often discussed in this triad of conditions: • Arjuna: used for cardiac health • Guggulu: help in managing high cholesterol.  • Amalaki & Shilajit: Frequently used to support metabolic health in diabetic patients. • Brahmi & Ashwagandha: May support neuroprotection and cognitive recovery following an ischaemic event.  Therapies Once the patient is stable, specific procedures may be beneficial: • Abhyanga (Oil Massage): Gentle massage with lMahanarayan Taila can help improve muscle tone and circulation in affected limbs. • Shirodhara: Useful for managing the anxiety and hypertension often associated with stroke recovery.

Hello, You are dealing with a combination of -metabolic disorder (diabetes + cholestrol) -circulatory imbalance (hypertension) -vascular event (ischemia stroke= blockage in blood vessel supplying brain) Ayurvedic view -Diabetes= madhumeha (kapha + vata imbalance, metabolic toxin buildup “ama”) -Hypertension= rakta + vata dushti (circulatory tension) -stroke= pakshaghata (vata aggravation affecting nervous system) -cholestrol= medo dushti vriddhi (fat tissue imbalance) Root issue= impaired digestion-> toxin accumulation-> blocked channels-> vascular damage Treatment goals -normalize blood sugar and insulin sensitivity -reduce blood pressure safely -improve lipid profile -resotre brain function and nerve strength post stroke -cleanse microchannels prevent future blockages -gradually reduce dependency on allopathic meds Internal medications 1) For diabetes + metabolism -Katakakhadiradi kashaya=15ml+ equal warm water twice daily before meals =improves glucose metabolism, clears channels -Nishamalaki tablets= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =strong anti diabetic, improves insulin function 2) For cholestrol + circulation -Guggulutiktakam kashaya= 15ml twice daily before meals with warm water =reduces lipid accumulation, anti inflammatory -Ksheerbala 101 capsule= 2 cap twice daily after meals =nourishes nerves + supports vascular health 3) For hypertension -Sarpagandhadhi gulika= 1 tab at night =natural bp regulator, calming effect -Arjunarishta= 15ml + equal water after meals =strengthens heart and improves circulation 4) Post stroke recovery very important -Dhandanayanadi kashaya= 15ml twice daily after meals with warm water =improves nerve function and mobility -brahmi ghrita= 10gm with warm milk in morning =brain rejuvenator, memory , neutron repair External therapies Oil massage= ksheerbala taila -daily -imporves circulation, reduces vata -Steam therapy -after massage -helps remove toxins + improves mobility Lifestyle changes Daily routine -wake up early before 6 am -gentle walking 30 min daily -avoid daytime sleeping Stress management -essential for Bp + stroke prevention Yoga and pranayam -Anulom Vilom= 15 min daily -bhramari= reduces Bp and stress -chandrabhedi= calming effect Yoga -tadasana -vrikshasana -bhujangasana Avoid intense or inverted poses Diet very important -warm, light , freshly cooked meals -barley, millets, green gram -bitter vegetables karela, neem, methi -garlic, turmeric Avoid -sugar, refined carbs -fried food -red meat -excess salt very important for Bp -dairy excess Special -drink lukewarm water throughout the day -add. 1 tsp methi seeds soaked overnight Home remedies -jamun seed powder= 1 tsp daily diabetes -Garlic 1 clove empty stomach= cholestrol and Bp -Amla juice= 20ml daily antioxidant + sugar control Do not stop modern medicines suddenly Monitor sugar and bp closely (Ayurveda may reduce levels) Stroke recovery needs supervision Duration of treatment -initial improvement= 4- 6 weeks -sinificant metabolic correction= 3-6 months -stroke recovery= 6-12 months gradually Your condition is reversible to a large extent, but requires -discipline -consistency -integrated care Ayurveda works deeply at root level- repairing metabolism, clearing blockages, and strengthening nerves- but it is not a quick fix Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

You need to note that you cannot abruptly stop your allopathy medicines as they may cause sever damage that can cost life. More than medicines of any pathy you need to know that lifestyle correction is important to keep your diabetes and hypertension in control. Follow the following regime and paired with medicines will help you taper your allopathy medicines to the lowest dose. ✔️Do✔️ Eat home cooked food Dinner before sunset or maximum an hour after sunset 100 steps walking after both meals Stress free lifestyle 🧘‍♀️Yoga and Pranayam🧘‍♀️ Sarvangasan Tadasan Vrukshasan Pashimotanasan Tratak Anulom vilom Bhramari ❌Dont❌ Excessive salt All that is white in colour like wheat flour, refined wheat flour, rice, sugar, salt Alcohol Tobacco and its products Fried and oily food Processed and packed items Ready to eat meals Papad Pickles Dried Fish Dairy 💊Medication💊 Syp. Patolkatukarohiniadi kashay 3 tsp twice a day before food Tab. Sarpagandha Vati 2 tabs twice a day before food Cap. Memorine 2 caps twice a day before food Take both these medications for 21 days and monitor your bp twice a day. After that you can discontinue Memorine and take Sarpagandha Vati 1 tab twice a day. Tab. Lashunasi Vati 2 tabs twice a day after food. Syp. Prasaham 4 tsp at bed time with a cup of cow milk.

Namaste, Your condition — diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and recent ischemic stroke — indicates metabolic imbalance with vascular involvement, requiring very careful and safe management. The focus should be on supporting recovery, improving circulation, and maintaining stable control of all parameters. It is very important to understand that after a stroke, modern medicines (blood thinners, BP, sugar control) should be continued as advised. Ayurveda can be used as a supportive approach, not as a replacement at this stage. Prefer light, warm, freshly cooked food. Avoid oily, fried, processed, and high-salt foods. Include vegetables, whole grains, and a small quantity of ghee. Maintain regular meal timings. Gentle walking and physiotherapy (as advised) are very important for recovery. Ensure proper sleep and reduce stress. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing (supportive): Arjuna Ksheerapaka – once daily (for heart and vascular support) Chandraprabha Vati – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Guduchi Satva – ½ teaspoon once daily with water External support: Gentle massage with Dhanwantharam Taila or Ksheerabala Taila (if advised), especially for weakness or stiffness These are traditionally used to support circulation, improve strength, and help recovery when combined with proper medical care. Do not stop or reduce your current medications without your doctor’s advice. Gradual changes can be considered only after proper evaluation and stability. Recovery after stroke takes time, but with consistent care, improvement in strength and overall health can be achieved. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
