Can Cartilage Regrow in My Thumb Joint? - #52308

At the start of my hand Thumb I have lost the gap between 2 bones,so during some hand movements the 2 bones rub over each other and cause severe pain. Can the gap cartilage regrow with treatment or we need to fuse 2 bones and loose mobility ?
