Hello, When you have recurrent fungal or bacterial infection on the face, it usually meals 1) Skin barrier is weak -your skin is not protecting itself properly-> microbes (fungus/bacteria) grows easily 2) Internal imbalance This is typically due to -kapha imbalance= oily, sticky skin-> fungal growth -pitta imbalance= redness, burning, inflammation -impure blood= repeated infections, acne like lesions So this is not just a surface problem= it is both -external skin infection -internal dosha imbalance + immunity Treatment goals -kill infection naturally -purify blood -reduce oil and inflammation -improve skin immunity -prevent recurrence Internal medications 1) Mahamanjisthadi kashaya= 15ml + equal water twice daily before meals =powerful blood purifier, reduces inflammation, acne, infections, best for fungal + bacterial skin issues 2) Gandhak rasayana= 1 tab twice daily after meals =natural antibacterial and antifungal, improves skin immunity, reduces recurrence 3) Nimbadi guggulu= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =strong antimicrobial, reduces swelling, pus, infection, good for stubborn facial infections 4) Triphala tablet= 2 tabs at night with lukewarm water =detoxifies gut, improves digestion-> key for skin healing, prevents toxin buildup External treatment= very important 1) Nimbadi taila -apply thin layer on affected area -leave for 30 min -wash with lukewarm water =strong anti fungal + antibacterial, reduces itching and spread 2) Ayurvedic face wash neem based -wash face 2 times daily -avoid harsh soaps 3)Turmeric + neem paste home remedy -mix turmeric powder + neem powder + rose water -apply 15 min daily -natural antimicrobial + reduce scars Lifestyle changes -do not touch or scratch lesions -change pillow cover every 2 days -avoid sharing towels -keep face dry fungus loves moisture -avoid heavy cream/oily cosmetics -sleep properly 7-8 hours Yoga and pranayam -Anulom Vilom= 10 min -kapalbhati= 5 min (if no active irritation) -sheetali= reduces pitta Helps detox + improves immunity + skin healing Diet (very important) -neem leaves small quantity weekly -bitter vegetables karela, methi -warm water throughout day -fruits avoid very sweet ones -green vegetables -turmeric milk if no fungal flare with milk Avoid -sugar, sweets -dairy especially curd -fried and oily food -bakery items -excess spicy food -fermented foods These increase kapha + pitta-> infection worsens Investigations if not improving -skin scraping test fungal confirmation -blood sugar as diabetes can worsen infection -CBC infection status If lesions are -spreadinf rapidly -very painful -with pus or fever You may need short term medical support along with Ayurveda Duration of treatment -mild cases= 3-4 weeks -chronic/recurrent= 6-8 weeks consistency is key Natural healing works- but only if you treat both inside and outside Most people fail because they only apply creams Your focus should be -clean blood -strong immnuity -balanced skin environment That’s how you stop recurrence permanently Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

1. Gandhak Rasayan Dosage: 2 tablets twice daily. Time: After meals with warm water. 2. Mahamanjisthadi Kwath Dosage: 15 ml mixed with 15 ml of warm water. Time: Twice daily, after meals. ✓External Therapy Stop All Creams & Moisturizers: You must starve the fungus of moisture. Keep the affected areas on your face completely dry. Neem & Triphala Wash: Boil 1 tablespoon of Triphala powder and a handful of fresh or dried Neem leaves in 2 glasses of water until it reduces to half. Strain it, let it cool, and use this medicinal water to wash your face 2-3 times a day. Triphala is highly astringent (drying) and Neem is intensely antibacterial. ✓Dietary Correction You cannot cure a fungal skin infection if your diet is feeding it. Strictly avoid all fermented foods, yogurt (curd), excessive salt, sour fruits and refined sugar. These create a damp-heat (Pitta-Kapha) environment in the gut, which fuels fungal overgrowth. Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

hello thank you for contacting ask ayurveda may i know your age and sex what is your profession how do you know that you have fungal and bacterial in face what medication you took any medical issues – hypothyroid for skin related issue i recommend panchakarma therapy initially you have to undergo detoxification and rejuvenation therapy for this ayurveda will be helpful . it can be done in any good ayurvedic centre. but before pachakarma you need to cleanse your gut (digestive system) it has two stages:- 1] deepana therapy :- it refers to medications that ignite agni , the metabolic fire ( appetitie simulator ) without necessarily digesting ama. 2]pachana therpay :- digestions—it focus on the digestion of ama. deepana and pachana plays a significant role in the treatment of various aliments while enhancing digestive juices ( agni). it governs metabolic processes, digestion and the bodys overall functionality . now panchakarma therapy it’s a therapy in ayurveda for detoxification and rejuvenation. it is used to remove toxins (ama) from the body and to restore balance to the three doshas in our body ( vata , pitta ,kapha) it is divided into three stages 1]purva karma >> snehana karma :- internal and external administration of medicated oil or ghee, internal :- this are ingested over a period of days to lubricate the tissues and cells all over the body . this helps to loosen the toxins and make ready for evacuation. external: massage with medicated oil to whole body to enhance absorbation through the skin and further loosen the malas >> swedana karma:- after snehna to release the mala from the body , inducing sweating from body by steam bath 2]pradhan karma :- >> vamana :- it is the therapy in which a person is induced controlled vomitings using medicated drugs under observation. this helps in removing excess kapha from the gastro intestinal tract and respiratory system. >> virechana:- it is the therapy in which a person is induced to pass controlled multiple stools through medicated drugs under observation. it cleanses the lower gastro intestinal tract, liver and gall bladder. after panchkarma you have to take medicines later diet and life style modification moisturize your skin regularly take proper sun exposure consume gluten free food follow a low carb diet eat anti inflammatory food, green vegetables , nuts eat omega -3 rich foods be gentle with your skin avoid harsh soap and cleansers reduce intake of meat reduce intake of sugar and vegetable oils avoid hot and humid weather dont use bleach and fabric softners for laundry avoid taking stress

Namaste, Your concern — persistent fungal or bacterial infection on the face not responding well to creams or pills — indicates underlying skin imbalance with pitta-kapha involvement and possibly reduced skin immunity. The focus should be on reducing infection, controlling inflammation, and improving skin resistance gently. Avoid oily, spicy, sugary, and processed foods, as they can worsen skin infections. Keep the face clean and dry. Avoid heavy creams and makeup. Do not touch or scratch the affected area. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Gandhak Rasayan – 1 tablet, twice daily after food (if digestion is good) Neem Tablets – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Avipattikar Churna – 1 teaspoon at bedtime with warm water External care: Apply neem paste (neem powder + water) on affected area once daily You can also use a paste of turmeric + sandalwood powder with rose water, 2–3 times a week These are traditionally used to reduce infection, purify the skin, and control inflammation when combined with proper care. Avoid mixing too many products on the skin. If lesions are spreading rapidly or not improving, proper clinical examination is important to confirm whether it is fungal or bacterial, as treatment may differ. Improvement can be seen gradually over a few weeks with consistent care. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
