Concerns About Bloating and Constipation While Taking Ashwagandha - #52477

H its for Dr sara garg so i have been taking medicine in case #50474 but i feel bloated and some constipated motion in morning is not full done. And belly size increaae from sides and front has increased and so as chest in just 2-3 weeks. should i stop ashwagandha ?

The symptoms you’re experiencing, such as bloating and constipation, suggest an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which governs movement and elimination in the body. Vata imbalance often manifests as irregular digestion and retention of waste, leading to a feeling of fullness and incomplete bowel movements.

The increase in belly and chest size could be due to Kapha accumulation, which is characterized by heaviness and stagnation. This can occur when digestion is sluggish, leading to the accumulation of undigested food, known as ‘ama,’ which contributes to bloating and a feeling of fullness.

Ashwagandha is generally known for its calming and grounding properties, which can stabilize Vata. However, in some individuals, it can also increase Kapha, potentially leading to the symptoms you’re experiencing.

Have you made any other changes to your diet or lifestyle recently? If yes, were these changes significant or minor?
