Osteoporosis needs long-term nourishment + proper digestion + bone strengthening (Asthi dhatu poshana). Dry fruits like anjeer and almonds are useful, but alone they are not sufficient—you should combine with proper Ayurvedic medicines. Diet (Ahara) Anjeer (dry fig) Soak 2–3 pieces overnight → take in morning with warm milk Badam (almonds) 5–7 soaked, peeled daily in morning Milk 1 glass twice daily (add 1 tsp ghee if digestion allows) Include sesame seeds (til), ragi, green leafy vegetables Avoid excess tea, coffee, alcohol, very spicy/dry food Take Lakshadi Guggulu Dose: 2 tablets twice daily after food with warm milk Praval Pishti / Mukta Shukti Bhasma Dose: 125–250 mg twice daily with honey or milk Ashwagandha Churna Dose: 3–5 grams at night with warm milk Dashmoolarishta Dose: 15–20 ml + equal water after meals, twice daily External Therapy Mahanarayan oil / Dhanwantharam oil Gentle massage over joints and spine daily or alternate days Lifestyle Sun exposure daily (15–20 min) Light weight-bearing exercise / walking Avoid long sitting and inactivity Continue allopathic medicines (calcium, Vit D, etc.)—don’t stop suddenly Improvement takes 3–6 months minimum

Osteoporosis is not just about lack of calcium, in Ayurveda we see it as weakening of asthi dhatu along with increased vata, so only taking anjeer, almonds and milk will give some nourishment but may not be enough when the condition is already long standing You can continue these foods in a proper way soaked anjeer in the morning soaked and peeled almonds daily and warm milk preferably at night with a little turmeric or ghee this helps better absorption and supports bone tissue Along with this internal support is important classical medicines like Lakshadi guggulu Praval pishti Mukta shukti bhasma are commonly used to strengthen bones and improve calcium metabolism Ashwagandha or Shatavari can be added if there is weakness or post menopausal changes At the same time digestion should be taken care if agni is low even good food will not nourish properly so mild correction of digestion is always part of treatment Daily routine also matters gentle sunlight exposure regular walking or light exercises and avoiding excess tea coffee dry and processed foods will help in slowing down bone loss You can continue her current allopathic medicines along with Ayurveda support gradually we work on strengthening from within

This history which you given is often correlated with Asthi-Dhatu Kshaya (deterioration of bone tissue), by an imbalance in Vata Dosha Since your wife is already taking Calcium and Vitamin D, Ayurvedic formulations can act as bio-enhancer to improve the absorption of these minerals and strengthen the bone matrix. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 1) Gandha thailam- 1 capsule twice daily after food with warm milk 2) ksheerabala 101 capsule- 1 capsule twice daily after food 3) balarishtam- 20 ml with equal water twice daily after food 4) kottamchukkadi thailam- gentle application to affected areas 30 min before bath. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 Anjeer and Almonds are excellent. Soak 2 figs and 5-6 almonds overnight. Peel the almonds and consume them with the figs in the morning with a cup of warm, cow’s milk. Incorporate Ragi into the daily diet (as porridge or roti). It is one of the highest plant-based sources of calcium. One teaspoon of roasted sesame seeds daily Avoid: Carbonated drinks, excessive caffeine, and very spicy or dry (ruksa) foods Ensure 15-20 minutes of morning sunlight Ensure adequate sleep

Taking dry fruits with milk will also increase her cholesterol levels. It would be more appropriate if we think over all the aspects before diatery changes. Here are some regime change that can help. ??Do’s:?? Eat freshly cooked food. Chew an inch of fresh ginger half an before meal. Eat only fruit vegetables. Limit dairy products (stop if possible) Include ragi millet, black eyed pea, rajgira, soya, tofu as vegetarian source of protein and egg as non vegetarian source. A fistfull of all mixed dryfruits soaked in milk for 4-6 hours and than consumed once a day preferable in the breakfast will help. ???Yoga??? Virabhadrasana Trikonasana Vrukshasan Prasavkonasan Bhujangasan Balasan Shavanasan ???Pranayam??? Anulom Vilom Bhastrika Kapalbhati ?Dont’s:? Sitting directly under a fan or right in front of the A.C Oily, spicy, processed food. Packed food products. Sour and fermented items. Bakery items. Fried food products. Potatoes. ??Medication?? Tab. Ampachak Vati. 2 tabs twice a day before food. Tab. Sinhanad Guggul 2 tabs twice a day before food. Tab. Me Cal 2 tabs twice a day before food. Cap. Arnopen 2 caps twice a day before food Syp. Dashmoolarishta 3 tsp twice a day before food with warm water. Castor Oil. 3 tsp at bed time with a cup of hot water.

Including anjeer, milk, almonds and dry fruits is beneficial, but these are only dietary additions. They support nutrition, but they are not a complete Ayurvedic treatment for osteoporosis. About the Condition Your wife has long-standing Osteoporosis with bone pain. In Ayurveda: Vata dosha is predominant There is Asthi dhatu kshaya (bone tissue depletion) So treatment should focus on digestion, nourishment and Vata balance. Treatment approach Deepana pachana Mild correction of digestion to improve absorption. Basti Therapy (Main Treatment- Purely under Ayurveda physician’s guidance) Panchatiktaka Ksheera Basti Along with Anuvasana Basti using Panchatiktaka Guggulu Ghrita This helps nourish bones and control Vata. Internal Medicines Gandha Taila Capsules- 1 Three times a day with warm milk after food Lakshadi Guggulu- 1 three times a day with warm water after food Asthi Shrunkhala (Hadjod) Extract- 1 Two times a day before food These support bone strength and reduce pain. Lifestyle Support Daily Abhyanga (oil massage) with Maha masha taila Regular Matra Basti with Ashwagandha Ghrita or Panchatiktaka Guggulu Ghrita (Under guidance of an ayurveda physician) Continue regular exercise and sunlight exposure Key Point Diet alone is not sufficient. A structured Ayurvedic treatment approach is required for better bone strength and pain relief. Make sure to consult an Ayurveda physician nearby and plan treatment accordingly.

Hello dear, In Ayurveda, osteoporosis correlates with Asthi Kshaya. It is primarily a Vata disorder where aggravated Vata dosha leads to the depletion, dryness, and porosity of the bone tissue (Asthi Dhatu). The clinical approach focuses on pacifying Vata, enhancing Dhatvagni (tissue metabolism), and deeply nourishing the bones. Ayurveda Medicines : Always maintain a 1-2 hour gap between Ayurvedic supplements and her current allopathic medications to avoid interactions. 1. Gandha Thailam Capsules: 1 to 2 capsules twice daily with warm milk after meals. This is a premier, classical formulation specifically targeted at strengthening bones, improving bone mass, and managing Asthi Kshaya. 2. Ksheerabala 101 Soft Gel Capsules: 1 capsule twice daily before meals. This formulation is highly effective for deep Vata pacification and restoring structural integrity. As you asked about almond, anjir etc… Soak 2 anjeer (figs) and 4-5 almonds overnight. In the morning, peel the almonds and blend or boil them with a cup of warm cow’s milk. Consuming this daily naturally supplements calcium, provides healthy fats, and grounds Vata. Monitoring her Agni (digestive fire) is essential when introducing these heavy, nourishing substances to ensure they are properly metabolized into bone tissue.

Females do often experience low bone density due Hormonal imbalance Especially after menopause. Dry fruits are of help but you need more than that to compensate these loss in bone density. Diet- Do- eat light fresh food , Add Ghee in cow milk and have it in night Ragi is good source of calcium, have it as roti or daliya. Have sesame seeds, almond, walnut and other nuts and seeds. Have ginger cumin ajwain, Moringa, keep hydration. Avoid having iron and calcium together for better absorption(including food items).have a gap of atleast an hour between them. Avoid packed processed, reduce coffee tea intake Light exercise daily including breathing exercise. And medicines will be of very much help here. Take them regularly. Do 20 30 minutes walk in sunlight in the morning.

Hi Osteoporosis occurs due to reduce calcium and bones density Milk and other dry fruits will definitely help you One thing you must add is daily morning sunlight for 30 mins to exposed body as much possible This will trigger Vit d formation and help calcium absorption Start doing this practice daily for 1 month and you will get results Thankyou

Hello Apply sesame oil full body and expose to sunrays during sunrise and sunset time, This will help improve Vitamin D level very important for calcium absorption in the body Take natural calcium rich foods like Take sesame seeds 3tsp soak in a cup of warm water keep overnight, morning grind to paste and squeeze the sesame milk, or 3tsp. Daily add to your diet along with curry, dal, roti … Bananas 1-2 / day is good source of calcium Spinach, yoghurt, soya products, tofu, cheese, avacado, broccoli 🥦, use whole grains, green leafy vegetables, in your diet Continue nuts and milk as before If non-vegetarian then foods like sardines, tuna is good to include in diet. Light exercises like weight lifting starting with smaller weights, strength training.will help build stronger bones. Avoid foods that deplete calcium in body like: Salty food and salty snacks. Sugary foods, Caffeine Alcohol Soda, Red meat if non-vegetarian.

Good diet can be a supportive measure as food is also medicine but there are some things to consider, while the calcium in fig and almonds are present in good amount it is not easily absorbable, pairing it with milk always helps improving the absorption rate because vit D and magnesium helps in calcium absorption. Also reduce the intake of salt, if you are taking any iron supplements space it because salt and iron can interrupt calcium absorption also reduce intake of coffe, tea etc. More over while nuts and figs contain good amount of calcium per serving size these also contain oxalates which can create insoluble compounds with calcium and limit it’s absorption, consuming potassium and magnesium rich foods along with these are also important. Space out the quantity of almonds taken throughout the day to minimise these and be mindful of the caloric impact it has. More than 20 to 23 almonds are not recommended every day and eating these together is not advised. Also not more than 2-3 figs per day as it is high in sugar. Also if your wife is nearing her 40s or more her estrogen level is also depleting and this also influence calcium absorption and reduction in bone density. So adding in 1 teaspoon of satavari choorna in milk consumed with nuts improves the nutrients bio availability. Also soak the almonds and figs in warm water over night advisable more than 8 hours. Better to soak them in fridge as the chances of fig spoiling is high outside and peel the almonds before consumption as tannin in the skin also will affect nutrient absorption. 5-6 almonds and 1-2 figs taken with milk warmed with shatavari choorna twice daily , morning empty stomach and night before sleep is my advise. Also gandha taila is a good Ayurvedic formulation adding 10 drops of this medicine also in milk will improve results. Due to the high fiber content in these nuts some people may complain of gastric discomfort. Ayurvedic pharmaceutical companies such as sreemed pharma makes medicines like GTD3 and BOND capsules which are combinations of this gandhataila fortified with calcium vit D magnisium and zinc. Consider taking one of these daily. From a purely ayurvedic perspective asthidhatu kashaya occurs when vata dosha is elevated uncontrollably. Body massage with bala taila and dhanwantaram taila and exposure to mild amount of sunlight will be beneficial. There are more wide range Ayurvedic therapies for these conditions.

Osteoporosis is a long-term condition, so Ayurveda can support bone strength, but it should be taken along with her current treatment, not as a replacement. Anjeer, almonds, and milk are good, but they should be taken in the right way and consistently. Daily routine: Soak 2–3 anjeer and 5–6 almonds overnight, give in the morning. Milk can be taken once daily, preferably warm, with a small amount of ghee. Ensure good sunlight exposure for Vitamin D and continue light exercise as tolerated. Avoid excessive tea/coffee, very salty foods, and processed items, as they weaken bones. At home: You can add a pinch of turmeric in milk at night for better absorption and support. Lakshadi Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Praval Pishti – 125 mg twice daily Ashwagandha churna – 1 teaspoon with milk at bedtime This will help improve bone strength, reduce pain, and support calcium metabolism. Continue regularly for a few months for benefit. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)

Osteoporosis means the bones have become thinner and weaker, increasing fracture risk. In Ayurveda, this is often correlated with Asthi Dhatu Kshaya (depletion of bone tissue), often linked with aggravated Vata dosha. Your idea of anjeer (dried figs), milk, almonds can be helpful as a nutrition support. Morning (daily) 2 soaked anjeer overnight, eaten in morning 5–6 soaked almonds (peeled if preferred) 1 glass warm milk (cow’s milk if tolerated) You may add: 1 tsp sesame seeds (rich in calcium) Small pinch turmeric if tolerated Evening Warm milk again, optionally with a little turmeric or a small amount of ghee if digestion allows. Ashwagandha – may support strength and recovery Shatavari – sometimes used in women for nourishment Lakshadi Guggulu – traditionally used for bone support Praval Pishti / Mukta Dasamula Kwatha 40 ml BD before meals External Kshirabala taila massage

Hello, In Ayurveda, chronic bone weakness is often understood as Asthi dhatu kshaya (depletion of bone tissue), commonly associated with aggravated vata dosha (dryness. degeneration, pain, cracking, weakness) . The treatment goals are -nourish or support bone tissue -reduce vata (reduce pain, dryness, degeneration) -improve agni digestion and metabolism so nutrition is absorbed properly -support strength and mobility -reduce fracture risk Abour Anjeer, milk and almonds These are generally considered nourishing and ca be a useful dietary support, but they are not a substitute for osteoporosis treatment Traditional supportive use -2-3 soaked anjer daily -5-7 soaked almonds daily peeled -warm milk These may support nourishment, but they do not replace bone directed treatment Internal medications 1) Ashwgandha + shatavari churna= 1 tsp with warm milk at bedtime =traditionally used for strength, vata calming, and support for weakness, nourishment and tissue support 2) Lakshadi guggulu= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =bone support and bone weakness 3) Praval pishti + Mukta shukti bhasma= 125mg + 250 mg twice daily with honey after meals =calcium supportive 4) Gandha taila capsule = 1 cap twice daily after meals External therapies 1) Oil massage= Mahanarayan taila -often vata pacifyin oils =helps vata smptoms stiffness, dryness, pain, may improve comfort and mobility Do not massage vigorosly as osteoporosis can lead to fracture risk Duration= 8-12 weeks Diet since she is mostly vegetarian focus on protein + mineral sufficiency, because many vegetarian diets can be low in protein, which matters for bone Have more -seseame seeds traditional support, rich in calcium -ragi finger millet -moringa leaves -milk curd -panner -lentils, dals, chickpeas -adequate protein overall -ghee in moderation if suitable -warm cooked meals rather than excessively dry foods Reduce excess -very dry, stale, ultra processed foods vata aggravating -excess caffeine -excess salt -smoking/alcohol Yoga gentle with osteoporosis, avoid strong forward bends, spinal twisting under load, or impact movements, especially if spinal osteoporosis is possible -Tadasana -vrikshasana -bhujangasana -gentle walking excellent for you Pranayam -anulom vilom -bhramari Useful for stress reduction and general wellbring Home remedies -soaked black sesame small amount -anjer + soaked almonds -warm milk with pinch of turmeric Ayurveda can play a supportive, nourishing vata balancing role, but with establised osteoporosis and significant pain Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

Hello. While soaked Anjeer (figs), almonds, and milk are fantastic sources of natural calcium and provide excellent physical strength, they are simply nutritional foods, not a complete medical treatment. For a chronic, 5-year history of osteoporosis accompanied by significant bone pain, a purely dietary approach is not enough to reverse the damage. In Ayurveda, this condition is diagnosed as Asthi Kshaya (depletion of bone tissue). The significant bone pain indicates that the dry, cold Vata dosha has deeply penetrated and hollowed out the Asthi Dhatu (bones). You must continue her allopathic Calcium and Vitamin D supplements, but we can safely add specific Ayurvedic medicines that directly stimulate the bone-building cells to lock that calcium into her skeleton and stop the pain. ✓Ayurvedic Prescription (For Bone Regeneration & Pain) 1. Lakshadi Guggulu Dosage: 2 tablets twice daily. Time: 30 minutes after meals with warm water. This is the absolute gold standard in Ayurveda for osteoporosis. The Cissus quadrangularis (Hadjod) and Guggulu resin specifically target bone tissue, accelerate the remineralization process, and effectively reduce chronic bone pain. 2. Gandha Tailam (Soft Gel Capsules) Dosage: 1 capsule twice daily. Time: Before meals with warm milk. This classical medicated oil formulation is highly specific for Asthigata Vata. It deeply lubricates the hollowed, brittle bones from the inside out, improving flexibility and preventing unexpected fractures. 3. Ashwagandha Churna (To be mixed with your dry fruit plan) Dosage: 1/2 teaspoon. Time: At bedtime. Vehicle: Mixed into her Anjeer and Almond milk. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen that reduces the physical stress of chronic pain and promotes deep tissue nourishment. ✓Dietary Advice Your idea of using Anjeer and Almonds is excellent, but they must be prepared correctly to ensure her digestive system can fully absorb the heavy nutrients without creating gas (Vata): Preparation: Always soak 2 Anjeer and 5-6 Almonds overnight. In the morning, peel the almonds. Cooking: Boil the soaked anjeer, peeled almonds, and her dose of Ashwagandha powder in one cup of pure Cow’s milk. Add a pinch of Turmeric and a tiny pinch of Black Pepper. The black pepper is crucial as it acts as a bio-enhancer, ensuring the calcium actually reaches the bones rather than being passed as waste.
