Need advice on weaning off of Trifala after taking it for six weeks for tablets twice a day so I don’t get constipated. Also taking magnesium citrate.

After using Triphala for six weeks it is better not to stop suddenly because bowel can become slightly dependent so reduce slowly instead of stopping at once first bring it down from twice daily to once daily at night for about one week then take it on alternate days for another week and then you can stop and keep it only for occasional use if needed you are also taking Magnesium citrate so do not reduce both together continue magnesium while tapering triphala once bowel becomes regular without triphala then you can slowly reduce magnesium also support your natural bowel by drinking warm water in the morning adding a small amount of ghee in food especially at night taking soaked raisins or figs before bed and maintaining regular meal and sleep timing if at any point stools become hard or incomplete slow down the taper instead of stopping completely this way body regains its natural rhythm without strain
