Hi, my 9 yrs old has functional dysplasia as was diagnosed after her endoscopy 2 years back. Then eventually she was much better. But since this January after taking antibiotics after her Adenoid gland removal, her stomach discomfort came back severely. Since then till now she has been suffering every single day after every single meal. Nausea, bloating, stomach pain, feeling of fulllness, feeling a pull & pain in and around her vaginal area( UTI results came negative but the feelings never went away) In March she again had severe ear infection, so again had to take antibiotics and since then till now her stomach pain and discomfort has been worst. Please help me as to what I can do to relieve her discomfort?

How would you describe the intensity of her stomach pain?:

What type of foods seem to trigger her discomfort?:

her symptoms relate to imbalance of Agni (digestive fire) and aggravation of Vata Dosha after repeated illness and antibiotics. This weak digestion leads to formation of Ama, causing bloating, nausea, and pain after meals. Treatment focuses on strengthening digestion, reducing Vata, and clearing Ama through light diet, proper meal habits, and gentle herbal support. —Diagnosis: Functional Dyspepsia (Agnimandya + Vata aggravation + Ama) 💊 Rx 1. Zymnet Plus Syrup 5 ml twice daily after meals 2. Amlycure D.S. Syrup 5 ml twice daily after meals 3. Amypure Tablets 1 tablet twice daily 4. Balarishta 10 ml with equal amount of water after lunch — Pathya (Diet Advice) Light diet: khichdi, dal, rice Avoid: junk, fried, cold food Small frequent meals — Apathya Overeating Packaged food Cold drinks ---- Follow-up Review after 2 weeks

this looks like a combination of: Agnimandya (impaired digestion) Ajeerna Grahani Dosha With strong Vata aggravation (pain, pulling sensation, bloating) And Ama formation (toxicity after antibiotics) Antibiotics often disturb gut flora → in Ayurveda this is understood as Agni disturbance + Ama accumulation, which perfectly matches her relapse after both antibiotic courses. Start with Ashtavarga kashayam 20 ml twice a day after food Dadhimashtaka churna half teaspoon with warm water twice a day after food Imunogest tab 1-0-1 after food With these medicines ur immunity will be improved and the stomach issue will be resolved Thank you

Hello, It is incredibly distressing to see your child suffer daily, especially when it seems like the medications meant to help her ears or throat have triggered a setback in her digestive health. In Ayurveda, the repeated use of antibiotics can significantly weaken the Agni (digestive fire) and disturb the Grahani (the intestinal lining), leading to the symptoms you’ve described. The discomfort in the vaginal area, despite negative UTI results, is often viewed in Ayurveda as referred pain or “Apana Vata” imbalance, where the downward flow of energy is disrupted by gas and bloating in the lower abdomen. This condition is seen as Agnimandya (weak digestion) leading to Amavisha (metabolic toxins). The antibiotics likely caused an imbalance in the gut flora, leading to heightened sensitivity and the “pulling” sensation she feels. To restore her gut health and relieve the pressure, focus on “Deepana-Pachana” (kindling the fire and digesting toxins). 1. Dadimadi Ghritam Purpose: Excellent for functional dyspepsia and abdominal pain. It heals the mucosal lining and balances the acidic environment. Dose: 5ml mixed with half a cup of warm water, taken on an empty stomach twice daily (morning and evening). 2. Hinguvachadi Gulika Purpose: Specifically targets bloating, feeling of fullness, and referred pain in the pelvic/vaginal region caused by trapped gas. Dose: 1 tablet crushed and mixed with a teaspoon of warm water or ghee, taken 30 minutes after lunch and dinner. 3. Mustarishtam Purpose: A primary liquid fermented preparation for digestive disorders and nausea. It helps firm up the digestive system and treats the “post-antibiotic” stomach. Dose: 10ml diluted with 10ml of lukewarm water, taken twice daily after meals. Give her fresh, thin buttermilk churned with a pinch of roasted cumin powder and ginger. This is considered the best “medicine” in Ayurveda for restoring gut flora. Ensure all her food and water are warm. Cold drinks will further dampen her Agni.

Hello, Your child’s history- functional dyspepsia + repeated antibiotics + daily post meal pain, bloating, nausea, fulness- clearly indicates Severely weakened agni (digestive fire) + gut flora imbalance (after antibiotics) + vata aggravation In Ayurveda :- Grahani disorder (chronic digestive imbalance in children) The pulling pain near vaginal area is likely -vata related referred pain + gut pressure, not UTI since tests are negative Key root cause -Antibiotics= destoryed good gut bacteria -digestion weakened= food not processed properly -result= pain after every meal So treatment must focus on rebuilding digestion first, not just symptoms relief Treatment goals -restore digestive fire -rebuild gut balance -reduce bloating, nausea, pain -calm vata (pain +sensitivity) -improve appetite and comfort Internal management 1) Digestion correction (Most important) -Hinguvachadi gulika= 1/4 tab after meals 2 times daily =relieves gas, bloating, pain 2) Gut healing + appetite -Balarishta= 5ml + 5ml water twice daily after meals =improves strength, digestion, recovery after illness 3) Mild detox + bowel regulation -Triphala cchurna= 1 pinch at night with warm water if constipation =keeps gut without irritation External very helpful for pain -Dhanwantaram tailam =gentle abdominal massage clockwise daily -reduces pain, vata, improves digestion Diet crucial- 50% result -warm, soft food -khichdi, rice + dal -jeera water very helpful -small frequent meals -homemade fresh food Avoid strictly -junk food -packaged snacks -cold food/ fridge food -milk + heavy foods at night -raw salads (temporarily) Her gut needs rest + repair diet Home remedies -ajwain water after meals -warm water sips whole day -hing pinch in food Lifestyle -regular meal timings -no overeating -proper sleep -avoid stress/ fear around eating Recovery timeline -1-2 weeks= bloating and pain reduce -3-4 weeks= better digestion -6-8 weeks= stable improvement This is post antibiotic gut damage, not a new disease Child was fine earlier-> means reversible condition Focus on -gentle digestion repair+ simple diet + consistency Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

She is only 9 years old so I would sincerly suggest you to take opinion of a pideatric to rule out any allergies she has; both medicine allergy and food allergy. What changes you can incorporate for her: -Avoid dairy items -Avoid overeating -Avoid bakery and biscuits -Avoid junk specially cheese. -Include hing (asefoetida) in her diet. -Freshly made home cooked meals. -Daily minimu exercise is must. Medication: Avipattikar chorna a quarter tsp with half cup hot water right before meals. Use minimum medicines, evaluate all possible allergies. Accordingly treat with a combination of allopathy and ayurvedic medication.
