This condition is mainly due to imbalance of Vata Dosha affecting blood vessels and fluid accumulation. It leads to swelling like Shukra Vaha Srotas Dushti (channels of reproductive system disturbance). Treatment focuses on improving circulation, reducing swelling, and balancing Vata through: –Herbal medicines –Gentle massage and lifestyle correction –Avoiding strain and constipation –With proper care, symptoms can be controlled and progression slowed. -----Rx: 1) Suvaran Vata Vandeśwar Ras 1 tab BD after food with lukewarm water or milk 2) Kaishore Guggulu 2 tab BD after food 3) Punarnava Mandur 2 tab BD after food 4) tab trifla 1 tab at bedtime with Luke warm water ----Local care: Gentle application of warm sesame oil (no pressure) ----Advice: Avoid heavy lifting, long standing Use scrotal support Prevent constipation (light, warm diet) Avoid excess spicy, dry foods (Vata aggravating) ----Follow-up: After 30 days

In Ayurveda, grade 2 varicocele and mild hydrocele are often categorized as Siragranthi (venous swelling) and Andavruddhi (scrotal enlargement). At 66, the focus is on improving blood circulation, strengthening the venous walls, and balancing Vata and Kapha doshas to prevent further enlargement. I have prescribed medications take medications take them consistently and you will see results soon ayurveda can take as it works on root cause The Dos✅ • Scrotal Support: Wear a supportive Loincloth (Langot) or a medical scrotal support. This reduces the gravitational pull on the veins, which is essential for managing a grade 2 varicocele. • Leg Elevation: At the end of the day, lie down and elevate your legs against a wall for 10–15 minutes to help blood flow back toward the heart. • Fiber-Rich Diet: Constipation is a major enemy of varicocele. Straining during bowel movements increases pressure on the pelvic veins. Include papaya, oats, and leafy greens. • Pranayama: Practice Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing). It helps in “Vatanulomana” (regulating the downward flow of energy). The Don’ts❌ • No Heavy Lifting: Avoid lifting heavy objects or performing strenuous abdominal exercises, as this increases intra-abdominal pressure. • Avoid Hot Baths: Heat can cause the veins to dilate (expand) further. Use lukewarm or room-temperature water for bathing. • Avoid Prolonged Standing: Try not to stand for long periods. If your lifestyle require it, take frequent breaks to sit or walk. • Limit Spicy/Salty Foods: Excess salt causes water retention, which can worsen the hydrocele swelling.

Hello, In Ayurveda, these conditions are often viewed as a result of Vata and Kapha imbalances affecting the Sukravaha Srotas (reproductive channels) and Udakavaha Srotas (water metabolism channels), leading to blood stasis and fluid accumulation. Varicocele (Siraja Granthi): Primarily a Vata-Vyadhi where blood flow is obstructed, causing vein dilation. Hydrocele (Mutravriddhi): An accumulation of fluid often linked to Kapha and Pitta aggravation. Prescription : For a 66-year-old, the focus is on improving circulation, reducing inflammation, and supporting tissue strength. 1. Chandraprabha Vati Used to manage fluid retention and support the urogenital system. Dose: 2 tablets twice daily after food with lukewarm water. 2. Sukumaram Kwath A classical formulation effective for abdominal and scrotal pathologies, helping to relieve pressure and stagnation. Dose: 15 ml diluted with 45 ml of lukewarm water, twice daily before food. 3. Sahacharadi Kashayam Specifically targets Vata disorders in the lower body and helps improve venous blood flow. Dose: 15 ml diluted with 45 ml of lukewarm water, twice daily before food. 4. Pinda Tailam (External Application) A cooling oil to help reduce localized heat or discomfort if present. Usage: Apply gently over the affected area once or twice a day (avoid heavy pressure). Support: Wear a scrotal support or snug underwear to reduce the gravitational pull on the veins. Avoid Strain: Minimize heavy lifting or intense straining during bowel movements to prevent increased abdominal pressure. Diet: Favor a Vata-pacifying diet—warm, cooked foods and fiber-rich meals to prevent constipation.

grade-2 varicocele + mild hydrocele is considered “Siragranthi (dilated veins) + Shotha (fluid swelling)” due to Vata imbalance with Rakta dushti. At 66, treatment should be supportive and conservative. Reduce swelling & fluid (hydrocele): Punarnavadi Guggulu Improve circulation & vein tone: Kaishore Guggulu or Triphala Guggulu Vata balancing & strength: Ashwagandha (low dose) External care: Gentle warm sesame oil massage around groin (no pressure on testicles) Use scrotal support (tight/supportive underwear) Diet & lifestyle: Avoid constipation, heavy lifting, prolonged standing Take light, warm, easily digestible food Include ghee, moong dal, cooked vegetables

At your age this condition can be managed safely if symptoms are not severe grade 2 varicocele on the left side means veins are enlarged causing heat and blood pooling while mild hydrocele on the right side means a small fluid collection both usually do not need surgery unless there is strong pain or increase in size Avoid long hours of standing heavy lifting and straining during motion as this increases pressure in the veins keep your bowels clear and regular and use a good supportive undergarment during the day to reduce heaviness and discomfort From an Ayurvedic view this is mainly due to vata imbalance affecting the reproductive channels along with some effect on blood flow so we focus on improving circulation reducing swelling and supporting the tissues You can take simple herbs like gokshura and punarnava combinations to help reduce swelling and fluid and a small dose of ashwagandha if digestion is good to support strength For local care apply lukewarm sesame oil over the lower abdomen and groin area gently without pressure which helps circulation Keep your food simple warm and easy to digest avoid very spicy sour and heavy food reduce salt and drink enough water include fibre so there is no constipation Keep observing if there is increase in swelling severe pain or hardness then consult a urologist otherwise with proper care this can be managed well without complications

In Ayurveda, it’s is mainly due to vata dosha dominancy, so ayurvedic prescription will be based on your current symptoms. RX- 👉Varunadi Kwath – 10 ml twice daily after meal. 👉Punarnava Mandur – 5gm twice daily. 👉Kanchanar Guggulu – 2 tablets twice a day after meal. Tab. Bharmi 1 tablet at night with milk. 👉External (local) care Gentle application of: Dashmool oil (anti-inflammatory effect) Avoid vigorous massage on testicles. Diet & lifestyle 🥣 Prefer warm, light, easily digestible food Reduce: Excess salt (can worsen fluid retention) Very spicy, fried, and heavy foods Include: Barley water Bottle gourd (lauki), pumpkin Plenty of fluids. 1.Kanchnar guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.vriddhi vadhika vati 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Punarnavadi mandur 1 tab twice daily with water after meals 4.Chandraprabha vati 1 tab twice daily with water after meals 5.Varunadi kwath 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals ADV-jalaukavacharan External Support & Lifestyle Because a varicocele involves weakened veins (similar to varicose veins), physical support is crucial. -Scrotal Support: Wear a scrotal support or tight-fitting underwear to reduce the gravitational pull on the veins. This is one of the most effective ways to manage mild discomfort. -Cold Compresses: Apply a cold compress to the left testicle for 10–15 minutes daily. This helps constrict the dilated veins of the varicocele. -Avoid Straining: Since you mentioned a slight increase in size, avoid heavy lifting or prolonged standing, which increases intra-abdominal pressure. -Yoga: Practice Viparita Karani (Legs-up-the-wall pose) for 5–10 minutes daily. This encourages blood flow back toward the heart, relieving pressure in the scrotal veins. Dietary Adjustments -Fiber-Rich Foods: Ensure you avoid constipation, as straining during bowel movements significantly worsens varicocele. Include papaya, oats, and leafy greens. -Anti-Inflammatory Herbs: Use turmeric and ginger in your cooking to help manage mild inflammation.
