You appear to have Chronic Constipation (Vibandha), mainly due to Vata imbalance, likely from low fiber intake, low water intake, and sedentary habits. — understand with example -“Just like dry soil cracks when it doesn’t get water, your intestines also become dry when the body lacks enough water and fiber. So the stool becomes hard and difficult to pass.” —Prescription 1) Triphala Churna / Triphala Capsules – 2 cap or 3 g at bedtime with warm water 2) Syrup Alkacip – 10 ml twice daily after meals with water in mix 1/2 glass 3) Hingvashtak Churna – 1 tsp before meals twice daily with warm water –Abdominal oil massage (external) Oil: Sesame oil (Tila Taila) Frequency: Daily before bath (5–10 min gentle massage) –Advice Warm water intake throughout the day High fiber diet (fruits like papaya, vegetables, soaked raisins) —Avoid dry, fried, processed foods Daily walking 20–30 minutes Regular morning bowel routine (do not suppress urge) – follow up after 10 days

●Some of the common causes Weak digestive system. Low intake of fluids. Diet containing low fibers. Lack of exercise. Abuse of laxatives. Some medications like analgesics, anti-depressants. Some diseased conditions- metabolic and endocrine disorders, neurological disorders. Psychological factors like stress, anxiety, fear. ● Traditional Powder • Rock salt - 25 grams • Roasted celery seeds - 60 grams • Dried ginger powder - 60 grams • Large myrobalan - 150 grams. This mixture has been traditionally used for gas, indigestion, constipation, and gas-related disorders. Method of preparation: Thoroughly dry all the above ingredients and grind them into a fine powder in a clean grinder. Store the powder in a dry, glass bottle. In summer, take half to one teaspoon with buttermilk. It is considered more appropriate to take it half or a quarter of an hour before or after meals. ● Asparagus + Conch Shell Ash (Shishkha Bhasma) Method of consumption: Take asparagus powder - 1 teaspoon • Conch Shell Ash - a pinch of each with lukewarm water twice a day. Consuming this for about 2 weeks can help calm acidity and bile. ●Mulethi + Mishri (Roller Sugar) Method of Consumption • Mulethi Powder - 1 tsp • Reduces stomach irritation • Mishri Powder - 1/2 tsp. Mix both and take with lukewarm milk or water 1-2 times a day. This mixture is believed to help in: • Relieves acidity • Soothes throat and digestion ●Simple rules to reduce acidity • Eat meals on time. Limit spicy and fried foods. • Avoid lying down immediately after meals. • Drink plenty of water throughout the day. • Keep dinner light. These simple rules also contribute greatly to balancing Pitta ●When should one eat? Food should be eaten only after the previous meal has been completely digested. Symptoms: • A pronounced feeling of hunger • A light feeling in the stomach • A pronounced belching • A feeling of lethargy • A strong craving for food. Eating by the clock gradually imbalances the agni (fire). The root cause of most diseases is a weak agni. When agni is weak: • Food is not digested properly • Ama is formed • Gas, heaviness, skin diseases, and fatigue increase. When agni is balanced: • The body feels light • Energy is maintained. The skin, mind, and digestion all improve. What should be the recommended amount of food? Ayurveda says: Half of the stomach should be filled with food, one-quarter with water, and one-quarter empty. If the stomach is completely full, the agni (fire) doesn’t have space to function. This is why overeating leads to heaviness, laziness, and sleepiness. What is a paradoxical diet? Consuming certain foods together creates “paradoxical diets” in the body. For example: • Milk + salt • Milk + sour fruits • Heavy meals with fruits • Curd at night • Cold water immediately after meals. Such combinations cause illness gradually, not immediately ●Gandharvahastadi Castor Oil - Use mixed with food ●Dadimashtak Churna - 2 teaspoons twice a day after meals ●Triphala Capsules – 2 Capsules twice daily with plain water after meals. ●Kumari Saar – 15-20 ml of the juice, to be diluted in a glass of water and taken two times per day. Once empty stomach in the morning and second dose in the evening at least 1-2 hrs before dinner. ●Yakrit Plihantak churna – 1 teaspoon twice daily with water. ●Laxinol-H Capsule with Haritaki for Healthy Elimination-Consume 1-2 capsules at bedtime ●Abhyarishta 20 ml with warm water 2 times a day .

Chronic constipation for more than 2 years in Ayurveda is commonly related to aggravated Vata dosha, weak digestion (Mandagni) and dryness in the intestines. Depending repeatedly on stimulant laxatives may gradually reduce the natural bowel movement response. Ayurvedic Recommendations Hydration Drink 2–3 litres of warm water daily. Start morning with 1–2 glasses of warm water. Diet Increase fibre naturally: papaya, soaked black raisins, figs, guava, cooked vegetables, oats, and whole grains. Avoid excessive tea, bakery items, maida, fried, dry and processed foods. Night Remedy Take 1–2 tsp Triphala churna with warm water at bedtime regularly for gentle bowel regulation. If stools remain very hard, Gandharvahastadi castor oil 1–2 tsp with warm milk once or twice weekly may help (only if no severe medical illness). Lifestyle Walk at least 30–40 minutes daily. Do not suppress natural urge for stools. Try fixed toilet timing every morning after warm water. For Immediate Relief Today Warm water frequently. Gentle abdominal massage with warm sesame oil clockwise around the navel. A glass of warm milk with 1 tsp ghee at night may help soften stools.

Chronic constipation with delayed response to laxative suggests weak Agni and Vata aggravation. Avoid depending daily on strong laxatives. Ayurvedic medicines Triphala Churna 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime daily. Gandharvahastadi Kashayam 15 ml + equal warm water twice daily before food. If stool still hard: Castor Oil 1–2 tsp in warm milk at night once or twice weekly only. Morning empty stomach Drink 2–3 glasses warm water and walk 15–20 minutes. Avoid: tea excess, maida, bakery, tobacco/Rajnigandha, late-night meals, suppressing urge. If no stool for >24 hours with severe pain, vomiting, abdominal swelling, or bleeding, consult doctor urgently Dr Rc ayurvedic surgeon

Hello, Chronic constipation (lasting over two years) requires a shift from temporary laxatives to a systemic approach that addresses underlying “Vata” imbalance and gut motility. In Ayurveda, chronic constipation is primarily a Vata Dosha imbalance, specifically Apana Vayu (the downward energy). When the colon becomes too dry or cold, “Mala” (waste) becomes hard and stagnant. Long-term management focuses on Snehana (internal lubrication) and Anulomana (restoring downward movement). Prescription : 1. Abhayarishtam Dose: 20 ml with an equal quantity of lukewarm water. Timing: Twice daily after food. Action: Acts as a mild purgative and improves digestion to prevent further accumulation. 2. Gandharvahasthadi Castor Oil Dose: 10–15 ml. Timing: Mixed with a cup of warm milk or warm water at bedtime. Action: Provides deep lubrication to the intestines to clear stubborn, dry stool. 3. Triphala Spark (Effervescent/Tablet form) Dose: 1–2 units. Timing: At bedtime with warm water. Action: Gently cleanses the colon without causing dependency. Drink at least 2 glasses of warm water immediately upon waking. Add 1 teaspoon of A2 Cow Ghee to your warm meals to lubricate the intestinal walls. Since your morning dose hasn’t worked yet, try gentle abdominal massage in a clockwise direction or a short, brisk walk to stimulate peristalsis.

Your constipation looks quite chronic and sluggish, likely due to weak bowel movement and low intestinal motility. Depending only on strong laxatives regularly can make the bowels more inactive over time. First, increase movement and hydration daily. Warm water through the day is important. Avoid dry foods, excess tea, bakery items, and late dinners. At home tonight: Take warm milk with 1–2 teaspoons ghee before sleep You can also sip warm water every 30–40 minutes Do not strain excessively while passing stool. Triphala churna – 1 teaspoon with warm water at bedtime Gandharvahastadi castor oil – 1–2 teaspoons in warm milk once or twice weekly at night Abhayarishta – 15 ml with equal warm water after dinner This helps improve bowel movement gradually instead of forcing evacuation only. Also: Daily walking for 20–30 minutes is very important in your case. If you go several days without stool, develop vomiting, severe bloating, bleeding, or abdominal pain, then medical evaluation is necessary. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)

Hello, your constipation related problems doesn’t need any medicine. Don’t use any medicine for this. It will only worsen your problems. Little change diet and lifestyle will help you more than medicine on a long run. Firstly try to take saoked black raisin in morning. Then after 30-40 minutes take your breakfast , any meal of your day should be warm, freshly prepared. Avoid too much oily, spicy, curd, chilled water or soft drinks, packed items. Take 2-3 spoon/ day of pure cow ghee in your diet. Take early dinner. And walk 200 steps after each meal. Try to take 1-2 fruits per day. Drink enough water. Do some yoga or exercise which helps you to improve digestion. And avoid day sleep and night awakening

Having bowel movements less than once a week for over 2 years indicates a severe case of chronic constipation. Because you have been relying on laxatives for so long, your colon has developed what we call Lazy Bowel Syndrome. The nerves and muscles of your large intestine have become exhausted and are no longer responding to the chemical stimulation of your usual medicine. Furthermore, your extremely hard and dry stools show a profound lack of internal lubrication, caused by an aggravated Apana Vata. Combined with your sedentary lifestyle, the physical movement (peristalsis) of your intestines has almost completely stalled. Pushing strong chemical laxatives into a dry, unmoving colon will only cause cramping without any actual relief. We need to immediately lubricate the tract and manually stimulate the bowel. ✓Immediate and Ayurvedic Action Plan 1. Pure Castor Oil (Eranda Taila) Dosage: 2 to 3 teaspoons. Time: Tonight, right before going to sleep. Vehicle: Mixed into a glass of very warm milk (or very warm water if you avoid dairy). 2. Daily Corrector: Triphala Churna with Ghee Dosage: 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of pure liquid Cow Ghee. Time: Every night at bedtime, starting the day after your bowel clears. Vehicle: Consume the paste, then drink a glass of warm water over it. ✓Crucial Care Rules Start Moving (Mandatory): Your sedentary lifestyle is keeping your colon asleep. You must start walking for at least 30 minutes every single day, preferably in the morning. The physical bouncing motion of walking is essential to stimulate the mechanical contractions of your digestive tract. Adopt the Squatting Position: When sitting on the toilet, use a small footstool under your feet to elevate your knees above your hips. This mimics the traditional Indian squatting posture, which physically straightens the colon and makes it much easier to pass hard stools without excessive straining. Add Healthy Fats: Since your diet has not changed, you must actively introduce more lubrication. Add at least 1 to 2 teaspoons of pure Cow Ghee to your daily warm meals (like dal or vegetables). Avoid eating dry, crunchy or cold foods (like raw salads or dry breads), as they instantly worsen the dryness in your gut. Regards, Dr. Gursimranjeet Singh MD Panchakarma
