How Fermented Apple Bark is Traditionally Prepared Take fresh or dried bark of apple tree (clean and chemical-free). Wash properly and dry in shade. Crush into small pieces. Add to a clean glass jar with: 1 liter boiled and cooled water Small amount of jaggery or honey for fermentation Keep covered with a cotton cloth for about 5–7 days in a cool place. Stir once daily. After mild fermentation, strain and store refrigerated. Recommended Dosage Start with 10–15 ml diluted in half cup lukewarm water once daily after food. If well tolerated, maximum usually 20–30 ml/day in divided doses. Avoid excessive intake because over-fermentation may irritate the stomach or affect blood sugar unpredictably. Ayurvedic Supportive Advice for High Fasting Sugar Drink lukewarm water in the morning. How It Is Made Chop apples (including peels; the bark/wood is not used). Add water and a small amount of sugar or honey. Cover loosely and let it ferment for 2–4 weeks.
